I was drifting at the weekend at one of the first practice days up here in sunny scotland, only done a couple of runs to just get the general feel for the Z in comparison to my S13 so that I could see what needs setting up.

I have to say, For a pretty much std setup at the moment I was very impressed. First on the mod list is to fix the brakes and the handbrake, ditch the ABS then give it more steering lock followed by a better geometry setup.

Once those things are fixed it should be pretty sweet!

and the quote of the day from 3 seperate spectators was "oh my god ive never seen a car smoke a set of tyres so fast" LOL!!!! 2 brand new goodyear eagle F1's were gone in a cloud of thick white smoke within 5 minutes!!! YES 5 MINUTES!!!!! hehehe!

I was at that drift day at lyyd in kent i spoke to the guy in the blue zed .In the morning he was doing realy well car drifted well in the afternoon he had engine problems .I know this guy had a hard time on the board about striping a show car down for a drift event, but you have to give it to this guy for using a zed theres too many s body cars out there .It looks like a good set up d2 coilovers /D2 hydralic handbrake /bucket seats /still using the viscous lsd /I think a machincal lsd will make a big diffrence .It sounded vey nice as well .We need more zeds drifting being driven, not being tarted up for shows .

The guy drifting is called Aron and he is a really nice bloke. I think we should support people raising th eprofile of z's and this is an excellent example.

He rang me from the the track with a few oil pipe problems when those photos were taken.

He had a slight disagreement with someone on the forum, can't remember who but over all was not impressed with how the matter was treated.

I will give him abuzz and try to encourage him to use the site again but only if people are going to make him feel welcome.

For God's sake this guy is funding and getting sponsorship to drift a Zed in this years Drifting Championships so the least we can do is show him some support. Let me know what you think?

please pass this on to your mate Andy.

Pat on the back from me. Pitty Conas car was a nice car to race tune, but isnt that the point of tuning a car, the track? Personaly these cars dont do themselves justice till their on a track and putting tv screens in a 1LB Ice defeats the point of spending major amounts on teh power.

Whoever gave him a hard time wasnt echoing my thought, go for it mate.

plese pass this on to your mate.

Good for you Dude, you have my respect and my support!

Let us know how things progress along the way.

Andy

It may have been a shame as it was a good looking car but once it was sold on that was that.

think it's great to see Zed's drifting and would love to see one in the flesh being driven to the edge.

Full support here Bud, tell him best of luck with it.

Shame the paint's quickly vanishing from the front bumper.

Shame you've got nothing constructive to say.

Go and do your ironing or re-arrange your knicker drawer or make yourself a nice white wine spritzer and stop moaning.

:D

Lol!!!!

Really great to see some people doing some proper driving in a Zed. Can't believe someone has been chased away from the forum for being one of the tiny minority who actually take the chance and drive a zed like a performance car instead of showing its shine on the driveway.

and he is not the only one, when you see what are doing SPL with their track car, it's simply amazing !

I'll look forward to seeing that

He needs to seriously work on getting teh right gears out of the corners, anyone else notice that?

3 times he drops down a gear leaving a corner. See If you can spot them.

1 is fairly obvious as he overtakes a car on the exit.
