Ok we all know that the zed is the most perfect car ever made :), but if you could perfect it even more what would you change?

For me I have a twinplate OS Giken clutch that rattles when the clutch is pressed, as one of the two clutch plates is free to spin

Lights, Then brakes (Bigger discs!) and ultimatly, a six speed gearbox like the 911's and even poopras from the same era, which would make me consider using the car as a daily driver again and drop the revs when cruising on the motorway! I'm monitoring this site regularly, http://www.bilski.net/images/Z33_Tranny_In_Z32/ ....Desperate for the write-up as my gearbox is shot and i'd love to do this mod!!!

- Rattly crappy flimsy sounding doors!

- Leaking targas!

- Turbo locations, and bring the engine away from the firewall a bit!

Sounds like I need to order more HID kits in stock LOL

Most 6-speed boxes (like the supra's, 911, 350z) give a similar drive ratio in 6th, as ours do in 5th....no benefit on the motorway, and tbh the TT is pretty economical on motorway as it revs pretty low for a given speed.

TWEED F**king TWEED.

All the other changes improve handling, speed etc but the TWEED is as expensive to get rid of.

About £30-£50 for the material to retrim.....pain in the arse to do yourself though

Personally don't think the z33 box would be up to it, I would probably go for the supra six speed?

Obviously the expence that a car like this or any Japanese sports car can run to in keeping it in tip top condition.

But hey.......Look what you get. :D

Me too but this is nowhere near as bad as some of the little niggles.

I hate the way the dash has peeled up. I hate myself for not being bothered to fix it.

And like Dave said, the constant paranoia that something else is about to break! :slap:

The Nissan Micra Collete/Datsun Sunny indicator/main beam stalk AND horns..I've replaced the horns, but can't find another suitable car in the Nissan range to rape the indicator stalk from.

I also dislike the stonegaurd and mottled effect on the bumpers. I've removed that it it gives it a much more fresh appearance.

Other than that, that's about it I think....oh yeah, headlight removal. Absolute epic that one is.

the only thing i hate about it is the front view... it looks so odd (standard of course)

IMHO, the front view looking through a mirror is one of the best sights. If ever I see a Z in my rear view mirror, standard or not, it always looks impressive.

Yep, same here :mac1:

rattles, creaks, sh!tty tweed and the damn last wipe when you switch the front wipers off

lol at the little warning message on your mirror Si!

That's not my mirror! I took that just north of Los Angeles when I met up with the LAZ32 guys.

and the fact the doors have no sealing strip on the outside edge which iff you have side skirts allways leaves dirt and mud trapped on the top

........... AND horns..I've replaced the horns, but can't find another suitable car in the Nissan range to rape the indicator stalk from............

I was going to say that there is nothing I don't like about mine......

....until Si came up with the crappy sounding horn. It's just so gay for a hairy chested muscle-car

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

My mid height rear spoiler...................funny how tastes change :slap:

the wipers wipe twice when you turn them off!

tweed!

auto transmissions

shite series 1 heating controls series 2 much nicer ;)

crappy foam spoiler

heavy tailgate

seatbelts on doors series 1 import

poor OEM headlight brightness

poor engine venting= brittle loom's

i do love these cars :), majority of the above never applied to me as i had a manual series 2, just niggles that can be improved, should of been improved were improved.

This place  ;)

This place  ;)

dont u mean that its dead :mac1:

At least it can't break down :D

My saggy foooking seatbelt in the drivers door that doesn't retract.

I love the look of my z, especially the doors when the windows are open and you open it and the b pillar swings out like a huge falic symbol saying "look at my large errection, ladies".

Which is great with the targas off,the stereo pumpin, sunglasses on and alloy sparkling in the summer sun.

This is all spoiled by a saggy, flacid piece of seatbelt swinging out like demented limb which has no intention of winding its self in within the next few minutes. On its outward swing it decides to draw attention to its self by banging the buckle on my freshly waxed paintwork and chipping it.

At this stage, you think you can still get away with it by using one of two methods:-

1. pull on the inside of the two belts, winding the whole thing back into the door pillar purposefully and try to look cool. However, you never get the right belt first time and end up looking like a cross between a demented bell ringer and a epileptic milk maid. The second method has more potential:-

2. Pretend there's nothing wrong and hope no one saw you and just casually slam the door shut whist walking away from the car all in one fluid movement.........

But no, the ****ing buckle gets caught in the door frame, makes an allmighty bang and bounces the door wide open again and guess what? It's back you go to method 1.

Great!

Apart from that and not being able to stop, I quite like my z.

Andy
