so guys

i've got a zed with a single side exit jap pipe and i want a twin exit system instead - looking around the forums, these are the ones that appear the most. i dont want to spend no more than £500 and want it from x/h pipe.

whose got any views or ideas on what to have?

i havnt heard any twin exits yet on a zed also, as there are not many around where i live (or i just dont see them)

i take it most you have twin exits also aswell dont you?

I think at £500 you should look at what Luke at the Zed centre has.

I've known Leon at Alunox for a long time and introduced him to the forum originally, but I know he wouldn't build you a system with Xpipes back for less than £800 maybe more.

Everything he builds is taylored and top quality, but that comes at a price. Where as Luke has good contacts in the states and buys large volume good quality products and would proberbly sort you out with a nice system for that money.

have a peek on ebay, theres a twin system with a x pipe just cant get the fvkin link to work here ;)

sorry but single exit just sounds soooo much sweeter

Agreed they sound gorgeous but look like the other side has fallen off LOL

       :slap:

not the most flattering picture of her arse

for £500 i dont think you'll get any of the above,as said try ebay for an exhaust of that budget.

Paul.

IMHO twin exhausts are the way to go. You retain that lovely V6 burble that the VG makes. Single sounds like a straight 6 and not as flattering to the car.

i disagree - mine sounds nothing like a straight 6

by its very design the best configiration for smoothness, power delivery, and sound happens to be a inline 6. a v6 is atually a poor design in the way the crank is phased

Not talking about the engineering merits of said engines! LOL. The VG just 'sounds' nicer....IMHO of course!

i have no idea what on earth those words mean

i'm only a humble plumber though

Plenty of members now with Blueflame cat back now fitted.

Just under £400 on ebay.

Boldy and Apache are two that spring to mind.

Mine is waiting to go on my new project car.

your HO is not allways right---get over it

me neither ;)

Course my HO is correct...because it's mine! My opinion if you think about can't be wrong...as it's an opinion I have...same as your opinion. Your opinion is, you most likely think I'm a chunt....to you, that opinion is correct.

God this is starting to sound like I disagree with you out of hand but....what a load of rubbish. Soooo wrong  (IMHO lol! ;)). It's horses for courses at the end of the day but having heard lots of different configurations I'd never go back to a twin pipe set up on a VG (if I still had a VG that is... :wack: :D ;) ). The exhaust note from a well made single exit is phenomenal and really suits the car.

that looks better in my opinion LOL

I'd rather break the car for spares than having it looking like that.

Each to their own. I've heard both and prefer a good quality twin setup. :)

anyone got any sound clips so we can settle this? i know what my single sounds like but havnt heard a twin. also "cj" perhaps it might be nice to pop a sound byte of yours on hear to show them what your on about.

my arguement is though - i have a veilside backbumper which is made for two exits really - dont know of a custom bumper for single side only.

Look in my Journal as this is something I did myself ;) :) It's a fairly easy job to DIY an OEM bumper to suit a single exit (same applies to other aftermarket jobbies, CJ's is a really good example). If you don't fancy tackling it yourself most bodyshops will be up to the task :) Stay single exit! :D
