Hey everyone! Just thought here was as good a place as any to make my first post.

Im Steve, im into drifting and my zed will defo be getting setup for that in the next few months!

I got my 300zx TT Manual from Caz on here who now has my porsche 944, My previous car to that was a tuned 200sx S13 which I also used and built for drifting.

Anyways, no doubt speak/see/annoy most of you very soon and through various posts in here!

Im very technically minded and always witrk on cars myself rather than get the garage to do it so hopefully ill be able to add some advice etc to the tech section now and then :)

Bye for now!

Ive seen 2 Escort racing zeds drifting in the official series in japan last year, believe me if you know what your doing they drift well.

Watch this space!!

As for the heavyness, its not a problem, I know where alot of the weight lies with these cars and its the interior!!

Anyone felt the weight of the drivers seat alone??? !!!!! its like 60kgs or something!!

My zed will drift. and it will drift well, the twitchy ones are due to the hicas not being removed. once thats gone your talking about the same sort of setup as a skyline for drifting it :)

Oh yeh and if you watch it to the end guys you will see that it even finishes in second place !!!!

i think my point has been proven! haha!

Now heres a link of the clip from the 2006 MSC drift series in japan. Try watching this and tell me you cant drift a zed properly like a 200sx etc :)

Nice find :)

I've drifted mine around a few roundabouts I believe a couple of s13 boys caught me on film as well.

Excellent, you still got your hicas fitted? Ive been messing about the last few nights just getting a feel for it and its much more balanced than my s13 was for drifting but the hicas is really limiting me at the moment when im linking drifts together on corners.

Im going to lock it solid as soon as i get a chance to spend some time on it, but the potential is certainly there for a damn good drift car!

Im not in any rush the now as long as its ready for our first drift practise day on the 4th march which It should be :)

Mines still all there. Do you realize that at the higher levels of competition ie Twinning the Zed is not allowed to compete due to the rules concerning none solid roofs.

I'm planning on taking my European Drifting Licence and but not till I get my s13 as well as the Zed.

It's very easy to lose a drift in the Zed I've spun it 360 when not getting it quite right. I don't drift it anymore as it's my everyday car and don't want any accidential knocks. That's why I'm also looking out for an s13 to join my Zed.

I believe you can pull the plug off the hicas solenoids under the bonnet for a quick test to see what it'll be like. I guess with the lock out bar it will be a little more solid though, as with the plugs pulled out it still may have a little 'give' in the fluid, lines etc etc...

EDC rules state glass sunroof model cars must be taped up on the inside im not sure about targas , cant they be classed as sunroofs as there is a centre bar .If not its got to be a slicktop ,then ive been told these dont drift as well as 2x2s personaly i dont see this ,there also i lot lighter to start with.

It should be fine for eurodrift, but to be honest im so busy with work these days ill only be drifting for fun and at clubman level, Done twinning in my s13 and looking forward to some in my Zed with other guys I know :)

Roll on the 4th march!! :)

Heres some pics from end of last year when I still had my s13 :) Just incase some of you think that drifting is going slightly sideways out of roundabouts ;) LOL
