My mechanic put this idea in my mind and now he avoids the subject but i'm having a catch up with him soon and i'm going to push this if it's possible.

Keeping in mind the engine is currently out, engine rebuilt well getting there. and i will have room for 2 extra small turbos.

The idea is that the 2 smaller turbos will feed the larger turbos creating very little lag.

I'm not sure how it would work myself as he's the mechanic but is it possilbe?? and if it is how would it be done?? One other what turbos could i consider for the job and what cars run them??

yes it is possible, but there is little room to do that.

The supra works on a sequential turbo setup and most supra owners dump it for a single turbo setup.

You can get anti lag systems, which basically injects fuel into the exhaust system and ignites it causing the turbos to spin up.

I've ditched the Plenum so there is room ontop of the engine for a small turbo each side.

I have a Aem ecu and that has a anti lag option but that really decreases the life of your turbos. So i was looking for another solution and this seems to be a good one.

This would be a plumbing nightmare as you'll have to figure out some way of shutting off exhaust gas to the small ones when the big turbos are at full spool.

You'd be better off just sticking a single supercharger on it as well as your turbos, less plumbing, no worrying about shutting the smaller ones off & loads of torque straight away.

not really worth it IMO. many newer bigger turbos will spool up fairly quickly anyway.

far too much agro/cost for the benefit TBH!

If you really want something to spool them quickly just get a 50 shot of Nitrous, get the AEM to control it so you can have it kicking in at WOT then shutting off when your turbos hit a preset boost.

Far less hassle, loads cheaper & if you find you don't need it you can easily take it off again.

Quad turbo uno? the question is, WHY?

I liked the sound of fitting a supercharger but when reading up on it the way other people had done it was to ditch the air-con which i can't do as i get travel sickness if the car isn't the right temprature.

Nos is a option i guess it's a bit of a isurance no no being 23 but there again how would i explain to the insurance company i was running 4 turbos.

As said above, i can't see that it would be worth while. Nearly all enthusiasts who have modded cars that have sequential turbos tend to change to single turbos. The plumbing to make them come in at the optimum time is a nightmare. The Rx7 originally has sequentials like you describe (as does Supra, etc) and the 'rats nest' that controls it all is an utter nightmare to troubleshoot. Best off going for one of the other options. The whole point of the Zeds turbos are that they are small so there is almost no lag. If you update to more modern turbos you can still get bigger power without introducing any more lag. The tuning makes a big difference as well, get a good programmable ECU and someone who knows how to play with it.

Thanks for all your help, i'll look into my other options as i don't want to cause more problems than i already have lol.
