How much would u pay on insurance on a 300zx tt, im 29 with 5 years noclams one sp30, at the moment i have a mitsubishi fto and paying 450 third party with kwikfit but im thinking of getting something with a bit more grunt and the 300zx tt looks to be the one, iv read lots of reviews on gto's, Mazda RX7's and Toyota supra's but 300zx seems to be the most value for money and the most reliable.

On this forum iv read people getting insuraned for 250 and 300 quid but not with who with or how telling how old they are because we all know that makes the difference. So i could do with some advice

female.... 24 ..... F'all no claims stuff (as i came from a diff country)

300zx twin turbo.... £999.00 for the year - Sky Insurance

Would have thought ringing an insurance company would be the best bet. Probably cheaper to get yourself a daily driver & insure the Z on classic policy. The Z is in my mums name on classic policy - £145/year

a guy from sdrian flux has joined the forum and i asked him if there is any discount for club members at adian flux. He said up to 15% for club members

I paid about 900 TPFT for an import TT. I was 26 with 3 years no claims and 6 points ( )

That was with bell insurance. Yours would obviously be much less than that as you are older, have less points and more no claims.

Which company is your mum with. I'm 47 and my renewal under classic policy is about to cost me £306. This probably sounds like peanuts for most of you but when you factor in the daily runner insurance (BMW Cooper S) and also the motor bikes it all starts to add up. If I can get it for £150 I'd be happy as hell.

im with sky insurance 20 years old 2yrs ncb £1500 j-spec

26, 6 years no claims, J Spec, Auto, Twin Turbo, Virgin Insurance, £679 althought they won't cover me for theft without a tracker for some stupid reason

Needless to say when i finish modding the car i'll be changing companies

21, 1988 300zx N/A! full irish and American License €11,653 under my Dads name and he has never made a claim in his life. :headvswal :duffer:

I'm not rich :(

I cant drive it at all now, I use this website to insure it by the day for when I really want to drive it

http://www.norwichunion.com/short-term-insurance/index.htm

its £25 a day for european cover

I orginally bought the car with the my insurance quote being only €2240 (1 501.91439 British pounds) a year from the Hiberian website but when I called them up, they had a different story :xxx:

i was 19 when i sorted my policy an didnt find it hard to get insured

I was 22, with 3 years ncb last year and I found it difficult. Most places were around the 3k mark or wouldnt touch it with a big stick.

Managed to get £850 quid TPFT

not looking forward to april when it comes up for renewal :(

Will be 23 with (touch wood) 4 years ncb and clean licence as before.

Not bothered about going fully comp as wouldn't claim to get her repaired anyways as would just be a write off these days for the smallest dent.

Also cant drive other cars till im over 25 now the law has changed, not even if im on a fully comp policy.

Deffo protecting my ncb asap, at 4 years you can get it protected i belive.

shortly after buying the z i bought a 1.3 fiesta for 100 quid to get about in. I used my ncb on the z so had to say had 0 when insuring it. Cheapest quote £480!

I put it in the mrs name with her having 0 years (8 used on her car) me as a named driver (again 0 years ncb as its used on the z) £180 quid with the same broker!

Considering putting the z in her name with me as named driver on a classic policy. Only prob is it would be using the ncb from the fiesta so would only be 1 year.

mmmm big pile of poo!

Would be good to do that tho as i could then use my 4 years for me and get something better than a 1.3 to go to work in. 306 gti or simula im thinking

Love to know who your mum is insured with, thats just about half what I am paying. Any chance you can let us know..... or are you mistaken ?????

its all done with smoke and mirrors mate..... :D

anyways most...if not all low quotes on here are classic or sometimes called 2nd car policies you'll need a driveway / garage, be over 30 years old and do no more than 6k per year milage
