Someone who doesn't know their turbo chargers from their superchargers me thinks. Looks like turbo.

technically he is right in a way , the term "turbocharger" is a shortened version of "turbo-supercharger," its official name.

You'd think if it really was supercharged someone would have made it look a little different.

You don't get my point. The chap has a TT import (not badged as a TT)...he doesn't know a great deal about cars and gets muddled up and sells it as a supercharged version.

someone just phone him and ask him!

where would be the fun in that? ;)

Paul.

I rung the guy and he says its a non turbo H reg auto import, that's been chipped and the engine is very clean and it does 0-60 in 5 sec's.

I asked if it had been Rollen Roaded and he had no idea what I was talking about. Told me the 300zx were very reliable and couldn't tell me what else had been done to it other than it had been chipped.

No I do hear what you're saying, I'm just saying that if someone were to go to the trouble of supercharging a zed then surely they wouldn't keep it looking standard.

Just discounting the possibility it being supercharged.

So he knows even less than we thought?

well if the NA engine is in fact supercharged then 0-60 in 5 is reasonable. Not likely however, but if its an NA why does it have a TT bumper?

I totally agree, and the advert says manual he told me its an auto. I said that from what I could see from the picture it looked like a TT, he said non turbo and didn't understand when I tried to comfirm by saying 'oh so its a N/A then.' He didn't appear to know much at all really. :(

The bumper doesn't mean that much though as my car is an na with a tt bumper.

Lets just face facts and admit that we'll never know what car it is unless we go look for ourselves.

Why would you want to buy a car from a guy that admits that he has been drag racing it.

If this was an advert on ebay you would think that it is a con.
