what brand of oil filter should i be using when changing my oil. is nissan part the way to go or is there an aftermarket company like HAMP that produce better quality ones or 3rd parties like blueprint that produce same quality as nissan filters but at a quarter of the price?

Blue print. they are the same price as OEM, but beleive it or not they have better sealing rings and give no problems. I find OEM sometimes don't seal well and nearly always leak if you have a sandwich plate.

Chris C's OEM oil filter leaked like he had a hole in his sump because of his sandwich plate. Mine did the same. He removed his sandwich plate so he could get a seal. I just changed to Blueprint, because Phil at C&S Wood recomended them for the very reason I've said.

He's the only person to ever lay a spanner on my car that I have total confidence in. The only person I know who rebuild's Zed engines and never had to rebuild any off his rebuild again.

Greddy [GREX] do one for the z32 i had one when it came over from japan its shorter than the standard one dont know why .Pitwork do one as well.

Ahem :x: ;)

Blueprint last 5 years with no problems, very good parts, despite what powers that be may say.

why pay £22.50 when you can buy a genuine nissan one for under £6.00

Exactly - the NIssan one os probably the best bet for the car and at the price (even from main dealers) you can't complain.

I've also heard good reports on Blueprint parts too........ ;)

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I dont see the point in buying one of those £22 filters.

Better to buy £6 ones and change twice as often.
