Insurance - thanks atomic

As I was getting a bit miffed paying £2k for insurance I did a search and thanks to Atomics posting and the insurance factory - managed to get it down to £579. Thats for an import with declared mods - boost, exhaust and wheels. did not have to use my no claims bonus - 5000 miles per year. Similar to Atomic can use the car for to and from work - but with the money I saved I managed to buy a second car and insure that - still a £1000 a year better off.

Thanks Atomic

No, no, Andy - he said "declared mods" not all mods! smile.gif

Andy, ajay its like you know me so well. With my very limited understanding of these cars I don't feel qualified to determine whats standard and modded!!!!

Drove to work in a 1.6 escort, my new to and from work car, my amazement that the fuel needle hadn't droped by the end of the journey was short lived after trying to overtake a car, and making more noise and smoke but bugger all speed!!

Andy hows the car doing - the offer to look after your wheels is still open.

Where did you get that price from ?

Thanks

Andy I would reccomend you declare the "no engine" mod. I think that would get you a huge discount biggrin.gif

No, I'd keep quiet about that if I was you, the insurance company will probably want extra for that, as its a mod

ive never declared my ice as even if you do they tell you on ure policy they will only insure up to the first £500 anyway so why let them spank you on your policy for it....its the only bonus of having an import because if they wanna tell you you pay more because its so diffrent then why declare your mods and say thats how it came over from the land of the rising sun
