Some b*****d has nicked my valve caps FOR THE SECOND TIME. I bought a couple of sets off ebay when I bought my first Zed in June, they were nicked within a week of me putting them on. I kept the second set and didn't use them until I bought my second Zed in August but now these have also gone.

I suppose I was lucky to have kept them this long but it really pisses me off when some little b*****d helps himself to MY property. I know they are only a few quid a set but if I catch the thief he will get a severe beating from me, I couldn't care less about "PC".

had my ebay ones nicked from tescos in cannock. yeah they maybe cheap but its the principal. Theives really do p:ss me off.

Unless you've got aftermarket rims, I'd never bother with fancy valve caps. Gutted for you though.

My chrome 18" wheels came with nice chrome valve caps.

Two disappeared the other day. Probably kids nicked them.

I'll just replace the lot with nasty cheap black plastic ones.

It's a shame though - if I ever see someone nicking them they'd be getting a kick up the backside.

cant you get the fancy ones that need a special key to get em on and off ?? think ive seen them somewhere

use a mild adhesive then they wont get them off, most are shaped like nuts so a spanner to whizz them off

i had a set nicked when i was down in newquay, so i bought a set of anti theft from australian ebay and there still on. they just keep spining unless you use the supplied key

Yeah -you can get them on fleabay too, I had some on a Boxster I sold when I bought my Zed but the little B*****D's damaged my valve stems trying to get them off. I was lucky they didn't take their frustration out on the car.

I think the best thing to do is take Craig David's advice and go back to the cheap and nasty black plastic ones - at least they don't get nicked!

i make em.. triple chrome plated brass with an enammelled logo in the top. cos mine are brass to brass you can tighten em on with a spanner makes me laugh when the little fookers cant pinch em..

ย

anybody fancy a set?

I have some "Z" badged ones and so far (say 8 months or so) they have stayed on the car.

ย

I reckon those of you who have had yours nicked must either live or park your ZXs in chav-towns........... :slap: ;)

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
