I'd have to agree. From that news report the fact is that you've basically no idea what actually happened beyond that some sort of incident happened involving a white girl and five asians in a science lesson. If it's as reported then yeah, it's insane, but maybe she did go off on one and hurl insults at them. Who knows?

Who knows, only the asians and her know what happened. Sad day when it's 14 year old girls being locked up in a cell for saying they can't understand someone though

fooking hate crime! what a load of *****cks!!! whether she was as polite as she was reported to be, or whether she mouthed off a bit, to lock her up and treat her like a hardened criminal (actually, she was probably treated worse than a murderer or rapist) is absolute madness.

No wonder there seems to be a backlash against minority religions - particularly Islam - at the moment. I am not prejudice but when I read this kind of thing, I think why the f#ck do I live in a country that allows this to happen.

 

The PC brigaed have gone too far now, when the authorities are scared of saying/doing anything against Moslems for fear of being racist or Islamophobic.

 

Then I read in the papers yeterday that Moslem athletes are going into one because the 2012 Olympics will clash with Ramadan. I read on that 40-60% of Moslems surveyed would like Sharia Law introduced in some instances.....

When I lived in a Muslim, arabic speaking country, my parents paid for private schooling so I could go to an international school and didn't have to speak to native language. If people can't afford to do that then why do they bother coming to England? There's no way my parents would've put me in an arabic school, it just doesn't make sense!

Part of the points system that an individual has to obtain to get into Australia is being able to speak English, if you can't then you won't score on that part of the criteria.

 

Now I don't have a problem with immigration in any way, but if we had a policy of not letting in people until they obtain a visa, and part of the criteria was to speak English, then this sort of thing will not happen.

 

I also think the parents of the girl involved should have a talking to for not instilling tolerance in the girl.

down the same road as my depot there is a cathlic school, and i would say 90% of the pupils are asian, muslims & seikes (spelling) or black kids, who is the minority there? How does this work in a catholic school? Now i hear they are going to teach Asion history to the kids, thats fair enough for the Asians, are they going to teach them our history too?

 

I also work in a safety critical job where a clear understanding is vital otherwise peoples lives could be in danger, so would this be raciest for my company not to employ a person for not being able to speak or understand English? I have no problem with working with people from other ethnic back grounds or what colour their skin as all employees have to follow the same rule book which seems to work fine.

 

I think the whole politicle correctness issue has gone way over the top, and its down to the goverenment not wanting to look like they are bad guys they are too scared of what other countries will think of them, they want a multi race country where everyone will live in harmony, this can only happen if everyone is treated the same no matter from what religeon or skin colour. The problems are arising because we are being forced to accept other cultures.

I reckon that more to the point these kids could speak English but were choosing not to. Maybe the other Asian kid was the only one speaking English to envole her

jeez, if she was the only white girl in a group where none of them were speaking English then maybe she felt intimidated! racism does work both ways & perhaps she felt she wasnt getting respect :smash:

Like I said, respect to everybody and from everybody.

 

But you have to act in a respectful way to recieve it, and if she wasn't then she should have had a quiet word with the teacher not made coments like the ones she did, and reading between the lines and not wanting to judge without knowing, to get arrested she must have been abusive and that is wrong.
