mot due at 10.30. thought i'd adjust the handbrake a little. made things worse!! got no adjustmant left, even after taking out console and slacking nut before adjusting at wheels. now not holding car very well. :cry:

 

Also noticed a bit of play in rear offside wheel :cry: :cry:

 

could be an expensive day :eek: :eek:

if its not exesive play in wheel it should pass unless deemed unsafe.

Doesn't sound that expensive. A new handbrake cable isn't expensive and if you've got play in your HICAS arm, they're not that expensive either. Rear bearings are about £150 though, but it may not be that. Do you get play laterally as well as horizontally? Does the wheel sound rough when turned?

Mot man was more interested in bling on car :cool:

 

had me inside car for brake test. so lifted handbrake like a weightlifter :D

 

never even mentioned rear wheel play. just have slight weep at p/steering pump as advisory.
