my car is in safety mode i did an ecu check and it came up code 13 coolant temp sensor which i cleaned but car is still the same i also have a prob with the rpm of the car it runs from 800rpm to 1800 sometimes could this be to do with the airflow meter on the side of the left throttle bodie any suggestions???????

Might be a faulty water temp sensor then.

Won't be the airflow meter, that's down next to the air filter anyway.

800-1800 sounds like you got a leak between a turbo and the inlet.

pull one of the boost control lines off the metal hard pipe thats before the throttle body (but DO NOT touch the throttle!!!!!!!) if its no different then there's a leak.

as for the code 13, have you tried a different temp sensor? if not i'd go that way to make sure it isnt just f11ckt.

Personally, I'd replace the CTS as a matter of cause. If it's the original one, it could very well be reading out of range. Don't think they are that expensive.

MJP has them in all the time.

best way to check for leaks in the induction circut is let the car idle and spray wd40 around each joint or pipe,iff theres an increase in rpm thats the leak. it works better with carb cleaner but the risk of fire goes up 10 fold so be warned
