Both Tubs have excessive side movement and excessive end play but other than that they spin still!!

doh! hows the whole thing coming along? any closer to refit time?

No! everything that could go wrong has

I thought the Tubs would have been ok or at least rebuildable but they will not come apart and one of the heads are shot as it was put on the car before i owned it in bad condition and welded and i have had not luck finding a suitable Head to replace it with. and now i need good tubs

blimey those water feeds dont look pretty :wack:

no they dont,it just reinforces the need for antifreeze as a rust inhibater as well as freeze protection, imho as important as the oil in an engine with ally heads combined with a iron block

I have a pair of heads that have never been skimmed that have Auto cams and they are spot on. If you have a TT just swap cams as Valves etc are just the same. Don't want much for them, but I would take a 0.02 skim off them before refit.

If your turbos are seazes it doesn't mater if you are going to have them refurbed. they just exchange them. My experience of 4 different Turbo refurbers (you'd think I'd give up with Turbo cars, but I've got 4 at this moment) I'd only Recomend Turbo Dynamics at Christchurch. They are spot on. I sent my last set to them with a question as to wether they were deffective and they rang back next day and said no there perfect just full of oil from an engine problem. Only charged for carrage.

Pics of my Turbos Finally apart (There Big)

Sorry to say this mate, but when you get them back on the car they'll fail very quickley as the bearing seat has to be machined and recut and correct resized bearing put back. I know three well proficient mechanics of many years who have rebuilt turbos and they have always failed very quickly. That why these recon places exist and why garages don't do em.

Not trying to put a downer on just think you waisting your time.
