TBH I didnt know there were any alternatives !

Who makes them? Where? How much? etc.

I used apex sr20det mounts on my hybrid they were same depth as zed mounts but not as bulky

I don't think you can go wrong with OEM mounts. I change mine when I did the turbo upgrade a couple of years back... and the original mounts were still in fairly good condition considering their age.

Does anyone know if its worth me going with solid mounts?

How noisy is it? and i dont really mind engine noise etc.

I would stick with OEM.

You engine needs to be able to move a little, otherwise your car will start vibrating like the old american muscle cars. Moving from side to side when you rev the engine.

it already does move to the side when you rev it.

And i love it.

haha.

I have Noltec poly ones in mine but only because at the time they were less than OEM from the Nissan Main Stealer. Got them from Z1 but they are quite heavy so unless you are getting quite a few bits the postage might be a killer.

When I took the engine out one was in 2 pieces and the other was in a right mess.

I'm sure OEM are fine though.

ive already repalce the passenger side, and im waiting for the drivers side to arrive with my rebuild kit from z1 :)

Most of the time when I pull engines out, they are on there way out and starting to perish or tear.

I have Noltech too but they need heat sheilding to prevent heat shrinkage caused by megga heat from the turbos.

I used the original Nissan mounts on the Chevy engine but when I pulled it after about 1000 miles the passenger side one was split in two. Seemed ok when I put the engine in but will never know now.

I'm going to try these which are Range Rover mounts in a stainless cage to limit the movement if the mount lets go.

We tested some rubber mounts to destruction at work and they should handle 500ftlbs easy. The red rubber washer is to cushion the movement if the rubber does split.

Thats some mount?? How much would one of those cost?

Dunno, I made them. would be a lot cheaper/easier to have made them in mild steel instead of stainless. The actual mounts are only 6 quid each.
