I still live with my parents so all of that is expendable, plus the increase in overtime rates (Typically do between 20-40 hours/month), It should meen expendable pay of close to £700/month

Is that going to be enough?

600 pound should just about cover your fuel mate. im not joking either

Is that because of the thirsty engine or the fact that I won't want to get out the drivers seat, or both?

Edit: 100 posts :D

A nice NA SWB is the way to go buddy, BTW, wanna buy mine :D

I took your advice and have talked my way onto shifts from january onwards, so that'll be another £3k plus another pay rise with it which will probably be another £1k.

So in the space of 4-5 months i will have had pay rises of approx £10k :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :D :D :D

I've just finished my apprenticeship so the £6200 was for that, and I've just been told that i'll be moving to another section 10 yards away from my current one and going onto shifts, I wasn't going to complain

I work at Goodrich engine control systems assembling fuel metering units for gas turbine engines (Jet engines)

thats also funny, coz i rip off the very same units and ship them off to yourselves when they go wrong!

Ah, so you're responsible for sending back all the VSVA actuators back to us...

buy mine... it smokes and everything!

pmsl cant beat the smell of burning oil on a hot summers day

what engines are these on mush?

not sure on the engines, they don't tell us technicians things like that. But we had a couple of dozen of them sent back to us for undersize rigging pin slots. Just to explain though it was our suppliers fault, we don't measure them as they come in with a CoC.

Anyways back to the thread, hopefully i'll be looking for a nice tidy example of a SWB manual turbo by march/april next year. Right after buying a new computer and paying off my existing car loan
