Just wanted to know the legalities of this. Is it street legal to have neon/led lights under your car and drive on the public road ?

Or is the old bill going to do you ?

Cheers !

Should be banned by the style police. ;)

But, there are no legalities if it's show use. No blue light on road used, other than that, that's about it I think.

I was always under the impression if you couldn't see the lights but only the glow of the light you were safe, but i may be wrong.

Nope, that's just a statement from the die-hard neon fans. If you can see the lights, then it looks tripe. There's no legalities to having other external lighting, unless of course it's blue.

No white at the back, no red at the front.

what colour are your number plate lights at the back

I'm almost 100% sure you're right. A mate of mine is a copper and he told me this when I asked him, if you have the tube or bulb showing then it is illegal but if it is just the hue that can be seen then it's OK. I had a full green kit on my old celica and never had any bother from the feds.

I'll double check for you next time I see him.

Don't forget peeps, if we all liked the same thing the world would be a boring place.
