Hi guys. got me half a dozen HKS S40i Irridium sparkers for my ride. Any advice on gapping would be appreciated.

personally i would NEVER use HKS plugs, i've know too many people melt them (altho i MUST stress this is in skylines)...

i only ever use NGK, by far the best in my opinion..

p.s. that said, to answer your question i have re-gapped iridiums in the past with success, buy a gapping tool from halfords, just be VERY careful, hope this'll help..

should be gapped to 0.8mm

i have used hks plugs which are actually denso plugs and had no problems with them at all ;)

saying that i have ngk's in my zed at the moment and there fine

watch when gaping hks plugs as they tend to break the centre electrode as there neddle thin.I left mine as they were out of the box.

a mate of mine gapped his for a gts and 2 days later dropped a tip :headvswal £££££££££££,s

I thought they came "pre gapped".....

Richard :)

Yep, pre-gapped and not usually recommended for the zed
