If you had the money (I haven't!) and were buying, which would you go for?

 

The Nissan 350Z

 

or the

 

200SX S15 Sylvia Spec R

S15 all day long!!

 

But id rather go for a Sil80 TBH! :D

silvia s15 spec r aero all the way... i was going to get one before the zed! i drove one JDM s15 in aussie a couple of years ago abnd a non turbo varietta hard top convertible in thailand, the silvia was great, aluminium body great looks and the awesome SR20DET motor!!! excellent car! not many 4 pots are better than an sr20det.

 

the 350z is great too though, its a tough choice but it would be s15 for me.

Deffo S15. I absolutely love the S15 Silvia. Still very pricey from the odd few I've ever seen advertised over here.

 

Just can't get excited over the 350Z. Just doesn't do anything for me really.

Some people describe cars as looking "mean and moody" but the S15 looks like its in a muderous rage. If you make eye contact it will have your leg off at the knee, whereas the 350Z looks kinda dumpy and frumpy (imho).

Thats what I get for trusting "google images" I suppose but its the one I`d have in anycase. A couple of years back one of the guys in my village had one (in black) and it just looked nasty!

Yeah I do like the S14s. Especially the facelifted version as pictured above. There's a lovely one here at work in a mallard green. Has Skyline rims on it and a nice exhaust and does look the part.

As much as I love the look of the 350Z I'd deff have the S15 cause there sooo tunable!!! :bow: The japs love em and it's the drifters choice but if I really had the choice I'd buy back my S12 Silvia and do even more mods to it... Spent so much money on that car it was unreall.. 338BHP over 400ibft torque (will look up that figure) and weighed less than a citroen saxo after I stripped it out!!! :D Much quicker than my 400BHP Z..

God it was amazing!!! With the special built one off custom giant roller baring turbo it had virtually zero lag giving me full 28PSI boost from about 2000RPM it made a noise like a jet plane too!! Ran other trick goodies like anti lag so big 6ft flames on gear changes and 5th Nismo 555 injector driver + twin fuel pumps.. To much equipment to list!!! If only I had the cash to fit two of those turbo's to my 300ZX when the originals went bang... Cost to much money to get those turbos made up these days though... :cry:

wouldnt say the 350Z is faster, the spec R s15 has 280bhp same as the 350 and is the lighter car for sure. i love the s15 R, possibly the only car i would sell my Z for. Does it not have the SR20VET engine though???

I went with the minority and chose the 350Z. It has the Z-car heritage and a sweet V6 engine. Plus I've driven one and it is indeed a fine drivers car.

 

Not as quick as a stock 300zx on the straight (as we all know :dance: ) but still fast enough.....

That's correct. Along with the fact that the S15 does have a few bits borrowed from the Skyline too. :bow: What does the 350Z borrow from.... Renault. :wack:
