All you idiots .. don't bother .. I'm ****ing sick of you running our contry down.

It may not be the best place in the world to live .. fair enough .. I have served my country to the best of my abilities and I have lost lots of friends in the army.

So the next ****ing **** who goes against it is going to have a very bad time.

I know it isn't the best country to live in, but I am not going to sit here and have anyone slag it off anymore ... OK

Rant over ...

I ain't slagging this country off any I love living here in. But doesn't mean agree with everything that goes no here. Freedom of speech is a way of life afforded to the British people and long may she continue, warts and all. :hyper: :hyper:

Freedom of speech is great .. I just hate people slagging of our country .. it is our's by the way.

yes, it may be run by idiots, but that isn't the point. Politics isn't in this, I am talking about love for where we live .. **** the polititians .. they are all a load of ****ers .. lets just try to love our own country for a ****ing change. It isn't the best, but it is the only one we will ever have.

Well, you are a piece of shit then ...

like I said, you don't like it **** off to somewhere else ..

I love it..... down in Cornwall and i'm thinking of moving there permanently at the moment. Completely different way of life down there.

So long as you keep the news off, life in Britain's just fine for me :)

I like the UK. I don't think things are any better any where else.

Maybe sometimes they seem it but they all have the same problems as us or worse. Txes, corruption, uncontrolled immigration.

I'm staying put in the UK cos I like it here.

Yes it's not perfect, partly due to the people who run the country and partly due to the way we select them. But I still think it's about as good as it gets.

I'm not convinced New Zealand, Australia, Spain or America are any better. And as for The Congo, Indonesia, India or places like that, well no way would I want to live there unless I was really wealthy.

It's shite sometimes and other times it's an amazing place to be. You'll never find a perfect country cos people ain't perfect. You have to take the rough with the smooth guys.

By the way parts of my family came to this country 2 generations ago and are firmly pro British. Before my grandfather died he said becoming a British Critzen was the greatest honour he ever had.

sorry, I didn't mean to call you a piece of shit... I feel very strongly on this subject ..

I like where i live it clean and decent.I do have a problem with justice system. Also imigrants.people skiving on the dole.spending money on wars we need ourself.Years ago this country was better to live in now it is bad and people will slag it of but the issues i have stated are prob more to do with it.My Grandad died in the war for what to see his country run by idiots who dont care about the thoughts of the British people

As you have the right to say 'Don't slag this country off', we also have the right to slag this country off. As you, obviously, have a passion for here, I also have a passion not to be told what I can and can not say by anybody, it's called freedom of speech, it's what you have served your country for, and a hell of a lot of men and women have also done in the past. If they hadn't we'd all be speaking German by now!

Incidentally, i love being English and I'm very proud of it, but when I retire (or sooner if I have my way) I'll be going to live in Spain as an ex-pat, but I'll still love England, I just won't miss the sh1te weather :D

It might not be perfect, but we live in one of the most civilised and economically stable places in the entire world. Unemployment is very very low and standard of life is very good.

As much as the current adminstration has made its blunders, it's a very very good place to live.

i feel as strong as you do bud because it once was a great place to live  now its a great place for thieves, junkies, imigrants and is,nt life great for the politicans when the masses conform and watch these out of touch twwats just dismantle the country.ask a old person who cant go out after 8pm if its great,or a cancer victim who cant get the right medical help,or the poor kid just had his face fvckin kicked in by drunkin louts and the police dont give a toss,or the motorist hounded to death every day. wake up mate and moan and groan and the tosses in number 10 might listen just dont call me a piece of shit because i see the whole piture ;)

ps look at my avatar, not long now before i do fvck off for good

Amen to that  :hyper:

I think we have things pretty easy myself :) My grandad used to walk 20miles at the start of the week to a building job, work all week sleeping on a blanket and then walk 20 miles back again! Then he fought a bloody world war! We've got more spare money to spend on what ever we want than any generation before us. Its an unfortunate fact but the country is in the financially strong postion it is in due to the wars and political battles that it has fought over the years. Just a shame there's no bloody space here anymore. I prefer the look of New Zealand due to the lifestyle and the weather and open space but I also very much appreciate the opportunities that I have here if I put the work in. Thats my view anyhow. Dave

Luxury!

My grandad had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before he went to bed, drink a cup of sulfuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when he got home, his Dad and Mother would kill him, and dance about on his grave singing "Hallelujah".

LMFAO, feck your grandad is even more nails than mine lol!

But you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya

I'm sorry guys and girls .. it's a bad time of year for me .. even after all this time, I still get flashbacks of a good friend who lost his life in my arms in Crossmaglen (sp) he was shot at over 1000 meters with a barret light fifty .. it pushed his flak jacket breast plate through his chest out of his back. I was the first to get to him, and he died in my arms screaming for his mum .. it is a day I will never ever forget.

His name was Darren Brown from grimsby ..

RIP bud ..

Stupid thread ... forgive me for being such a cnut.

Ha mate, don't worry about the thread, we don't think any less of you. You just needed to rant a little and let off steam. We understand.

Not pleasant memories for you, so just take care of yourself.
