Yep, we know that they can play better, but will they?

England always play crap in the first game of any tournament, i actually reckoned the game would be a draw.

However it appears sven has leaned nothing from the last world cup when we got beat by Brazil. We were winning 1 nil and then decided to sit back and defend for an hour, you cant do that against against any decent international side.

 

I still can believe he's taken hargreaves, wallcot or lennon. He should have dropped all 3 and taken ShaunW-P, and 2 different strilkers, namely dafoe and bent.

 

Your avergae bloke off the street could win the world cup with that squad, i think scen would be better off saying, " ignore me and anything i say, youre all professionals, you know what to do" and they would probably play alot better. I havent got a clue why he took cole off, my only thinking is that he hought the game was already in the bag and didnt think we could get beat, however you cant do that with just a 1 goal lead.

I've also been impressed by the crouch, didnt rate him befroe but he's not bad, getting better all the time he seems to hold the ball up well, if its at his feet he doesnt seem to lose it that often.

But, we'll see, they should get out of the group stage fairly easy, the sweden result yesterday was a big plus, hope the roonmeister makes an appearence in the knockout stages, get shut of owen the lad did nowt yesterday.

 

We did win yesterday however dont forget the fact that it was an own goal, we didint score it, england had very few shots on target, we are deffo lacking up front and i'm sorry but Owen.. you are the weakest link.. goodbye.
