I really think i got a shitter now (pardon the expression)

I went to drive it home in at night (first time) and there seems to be no dash light, front fogs, side lights and well back lights

The only lights that work are full beam abd rear fogs

WTF is going on? please someone help me.

Can anyone advise?

Do the hazard lights work? could be a dodgy connection in the light switch pod on the left of the steering wheel?

Indicaters work, I try hazards in a mo, I spoke to my mate Nig who is a member of this forum and had a Z, He thinks I blow a fuse when fitting the stereo. I would of thought that would not take the normal lights?

Thanks for your reply

Check fuse box in driver footwell by accellarator... you may have blown the fuse.. it's the top row 10A 3rd from the bulkhead. Theres a translation for the jap description in the Help and advise area. do search. loads of people have had this problem. ;) next thing is to work out why the fuse has blown :D

also translation in FAQ electrics area... Gotta love this Forum :D ! :nana2: :hyper:

I had the exact same problem on mine. Changed fuse and they worked for all of 5 mins before blowing again and then sometimes would work for days before blowing but eventually caught fire on the M5! The fire was behind where power steering buttons etc... were and I needed it all to be re-wired! Apparantely it was something to do with fog lights wired wrong or wired up with sidelights???? Something along those lines. Sorry I cant be more specific but I am a girl! lol

When paul gets home I will get him to explain what it was a bit better lol

Meant cruise control not power steering!!!!!!!!!!!! Doh

Had the same problem and it was a fuse in the footwell. In trying to trace another problem I replaced the lights fuse into the wrong slot - and all I got was main beam, nothing else. Once I'd spent a few hours trying everything, a few mins on the forum and I had the answer.

So, as well as making sure the fuses are ok, make sure they are in the correct slots.

Good luck

Jack

Thanks for your replies, I will now carry fuses and a fire extinguisher

OK well no fuse was blown, One mission, lots of black tap linking fogs to side lighs and a melted switch
