just been out in the garden (or should i say wilderness) cutting and pulling out all the four foot weeds

there were hundreds of spiders and greenfly, there was a spider about as big as my hand, i ran like fook, had to get ourlass to kill it, im fookin terrified of spiders (bit girly really)

but now ive finished i keep feeling them all over me, i swear if i catch one in me trouser leg id scream like a girl

anyone else scared of spiders, i try and face them and try and overcome my fear but i freeze (or run like fook lol)

how would i over come this fear, or is it one of those things you just have to put up with

We grew up with the neighbour's bee hive down the garden. Wasn't even her's it was her brother in laws.

Every time as a kid i went in the garden they'd get stuck in my hair and start to sting my hair. And they'd swarm in our garden every summer.

As a result as soon as i hear buzzing near my head i freak out and run for miles. Can't sleep in a room knowing there's a moth in the room either.

I can't stand 'em either :( Depends on the size though. I used to hate touching any spider, but I'll pick up smaller ones now. Still don't like the larger house spiders and any of Maccas pets!

i dont mind money spiders, but anything bigger than a five pence and im off like a shot

strange cause i dont mind dragon flys and beetles and other types of creepys, but spiders a definate no no

God no i hate insects apart from hoverflies :D

Earwigs especially :D

Hoverflies are good insects they eat other garden pest. Insects don't bother me but Slugs ugg they make my skin crawl, and you come across plenty as a keen gardener. So I have to take a deep breath pick them up in with the aid of a large leaf drop then on the path then stamp on them quick like.

Little tip keep telling yourself I'm bigger, and stronger than (nameing the affending insect) and I'm far more intellegent too. Don't forget to take deep breaths and relax. :D

lol, slugs are yuk and when you tread on them even worse, they stick to your foot and they're even more gooey then lol

I can't kill anything deliberately myself i'm a good lad :D

No the Tarantulas bite is nothing more than a bee sting however...................

My Scorp will kill you in less than one hr. It is said the Androctonus Australis is the worlds most deadly scorp

12" forceps a fookin 10ft barge pole wouldnt be long enough, must admit i dont mind scorpins and reptiles, just them big hairy spiders

i never used to like spiders but now i figure they aint guna harm me and theyre quite cool. don't mind picking up big ones around the house now.

if i saw a scorpion out loose i wouldn't run off but i'd probably shit it because they are so quick and so frickin poisonous!

with regard to getting over the fear, try going to a zoo where u can handle bigger spiders. if its in a controlled environment you'll feel safer and more confident. otherwise, see a hypnotist...

Now that would worry me if it got out. I'd be backing out of the room nice and slowly with no suddend moves.

On the subject of Tarantulas I understand some people get a skin reaction if they handle them. I was fine when I handled one at London Zoo only the kids I took were terrified and I suddenly went up a another notch in there eyes.
