Anybody know where I can get a clutch alignment tool from to fit my OS Giken Twin Plate Clutch as I have a universal one which I bought and is no good. I assume that any aftermarket one will fit (ACT RPS) but I can only see one in the states for sale and dont really want to wait for delivery. Or has any one for sale or borrow :D

This is the kind I mean.

Thanks chaps.

you tried machine mart? or demon tweeks?

find out if anyone has an old manual box lying around (hopefully in bits) and use the sprigot shaft from it.

lol hard work they are bud ;) as you have to line up the plates

we couldnt get an alignment tool so we knocked up something to roughly line it up and with the bolts tight but not too tight we lined the box on it so it could move the plates a little bit then once it went on we carefully slid the box back off, tightened the clutch up and worked a treat :) took us 4 hours before we did this by trying to do it by eye lol

Some good ideas (never even thought of tweeks :o )

Don't really want to end up with lots of alignment tools which don't work.

I am going to have to think about this one........

Goes off to find broom handle and stanley knife :mac1:

true but the chances of getting someone who has a spare box and is willing to cut it off is pretty remote??

dont ask - dont get lol, a simple post in the wants section or contact some of the Traders, after all, theres always people looking a good box - something has to be done with the old ones lol

Prolly a good idea to get one, and club members could hire it and have it posted or something for a small fee (to cover postage)

broom handle , lathe and measuring guage. Works a treat every time !! although the broom is now v v small ha ha
