Local motor factors had mine. Just make sure you get the right version, wrong one will have the terminals round the wrong way and the cables don't reach !

i got a bosch battery from mickey b very cheap very powerfull see me through the snow and ice and starts every time , 75 notes i beleive

remember code 069 = uk & 068 = j spec

optima is between 120-165, depending on where you get it from , i did have a yellow top one cost me 150 . in me old car i bought a red top for 165, which has a lot more cold crank power ,

Could someone tell me what battery I have to look for; cold crank power and all that malarkey? I need a new one, halfrauds is the easiest place. Dave

Sounds familiar, thats the problem I had, after travelling 10 miles with the jump pack to pick it up :smash: The battery I got in the end was an 088, I've just checked and unfortunately it does not state the CCa or any other details on, but they should have a full listing and find it easy enough. Buying it from a factors is a lot cheaper than Halfrauds (as always), the one I got came with a 4 year warranty and cost £34 inc vat. :D

Bloody ell thats much cheaper. Halfrauds was £50 ish for most of them. I'm still not sure which I need. 068 seems to be the one for j-spec?? Dave

Yo Dave!!! Get a Decent BOSCH Silver heavy duty battery!!! There much lighter in weight than the normal Halfrauds shit and feature excellent power starting properties even in really cold weather!!! Had mine in for 3 years now and it's not missed a beat and it even powers my power hungry Kenlowe fan when the engine isn't running!!! Had a Halfrauds special in before the Bosch..
