Im interested in joining in with the Roll Cage group buy for my LWB, that Maxsunny is arranging. Im looking to improve Chassis/Body ridigity.

....but I would be after a cage that is not obtrusive to passengers in regards to getting and out, and leaves room for Rear passengers (the kids)....while still making a significant difference to Chassis Rigidity/flex.

In on new territory here, so Im not sure what sort of cage I need.

Anyone have any pics of Roll cages in cars (or Z32's) that match my needs?

Also, any idea's on typical roll cage weight ?

Friendly warning........check with your insurance co, they may not accept the fitting of what is a "motor sport item" or will load the premuim, I know you could argue the safety angle but they may NOT see it that way, best to be sure.

Yup, daveman, my tthoughts exactly. You have to remember rollcages are made for motorsport where people wear helmets, if you have a half 'decent' crash in a road car, obviously without helmet, you end up mincing yourself on the rollcage and smacking your head on it. Espacially as it is likely not to be welded in as well as a race spec cage. In a high speed crash you will turn the inside of your car into a blender. Hence why insurance companies hate them as they end up paying out for injury compensation. Show cages are even worse, they come loose at the slightest of knocks and cause all sorts of nasty injuries.

They do look good though! Especially in a show car!

Have you tried fron & rear strut braces? there's also the front wing brace from SPL to consider before going for a cage.
