I dont know the facts but isnt it a controled chemical? I think it used in the manufactor of the drug speed so you have to be licenced to purchase or keep it? I might be wrong and it might be something similar that I am refering to?

Ok cheers for that mate.

Il just keep on searching the net.

Yes. it just has to be pure methonal, its for water injection, a bit like the model car fuel but without the nitro

RC Developments will be able to tell you as they use it in their Evo :) 0845 2307667

I used to work for a Volvo Truck dealer, we had methanol in 205 litre drums and it was sold over the counter, it was used in the air brake circuits to stop the brakes freezing up. Maybee not used as much as most commercial vehicles dont use that now.

HTH Cheers John Crisp

go to the pits of your local speedway track ask someone there, got mine from there and ran a 1 ltr fiesta on it for a very brief time lol :)

You can mix your own fuels for rc models and can normally buy methonal straight so you can mix your nitro to you own %.

You may find it cheeper to buy 25 lts from a farm & agri supply.

Chees for the info on this guys. i didnt get the chance to phone RC developments today but I will.

However one of the aircraft where I work uses 55% water / 45% methanol mix so I managed to get a couple of litres of that today and will be trying it out tomorrow.
