The answer is probably no but can i put my ZX in a car wash without the rear spoiler getting ripped off or taking damage?

no, car washes are not liable either, stop being lazy n wash it yourself :P hehe, or go to them hand wash places, they cost a fiver, about a quid more than the car wash and they do a better job imo.

No mate. Depends on car wash but I would say no.

I wouldnt recommend you use them anyway, they create swirl marks in the paint if used too often. I did use one last week to get the winter grit off underside of the car (about only useful thing about them) and it ripped off my front numberplate!!!!

Steer clear.

I've never used them on any of my Zeds, you here of too many horror storys and as Kenny says they're not liable for any damage caused.

I took mine through one of those american sytle washes where it drags the car through. the spoiler was no problem but the rear wheels were too wide for the runners and almost rode up on the rail. I wouldnt get through now with wider on the back. So no!

wash it when its raining.............i did that last week....came out a treat............

Ditto mate.

I will NEVER take any car I own through a mechanised car wash. No matter how gentle the operators claim the bristles are - they are ALL bad news and will leave many tiny scratches in your paintwork.

You can't beat a good hand-job, oops, I mean hand wash.....

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I used one and the chain things that pull the car through ripped my old alloys to bits, an the owners weren't interested! Don't do it!

I'd never ever take my zed to an automated car wash. Would sooner leave it covered in shit.

The Astra on the other hand always gets taken through the car wash...and finished off by hand.
