Well, my engine was a low miler...it's buggered.

Anyway, I just won the auction for a 43k TT engine.

Gonna go and compression test it and hopefully collect it over the weekend. Before sitting it down and replacing hoses and belts etc!!

Happy, although gonna be broke...

Let's hope it's even smoother than the current one. Although the current one has bore issues, it's still one of the smoothest zed engines I've ever heard.

Thanks chap. Gonna do a few things to it before it goes back in. Replace belts, some hoses, do away with the rear water hose and EGR.

Oh yeah! Considering going concourse or semi concourse....dunno..but yeah, the engine bay will be cleaned and polished. :)

Nice one Si - hope it's a good one

Replace the det sensor and harness too - otherwise it's an engine-out job if it goes bad later. Not too expensive to buy the parts either. In fact I may have a wiring harness I acquired a while back.....

How are you getting the engine back to Glastonbury?

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Cheers Rich!!! Yes please if you have it!

Not too sure about taking the engine back. I'll either try and fit it in the back of my Astra Estate or will try and get a van or something.....considering getting the thing couriered here...not sure yet.

These engines are seriously heavy, it killed my trailer moving one of these 40 miles and needs at the least 2 very strong men to lift one.

You doing it yourself Si? or getting someone else to do it?? Nice one by the way, hope its as good as it looks/he says.Dave
