After fitting my aftermarket boost gauge to test what psi it is running I find it wont go past 7 psi (safety limit). At the scottish meet, it was suggested to reset ECU by removing the negative terminal from the battery for 20 minutes. I did this with no change. Anyone able to help out. The car has the following done to it:

NissTek chip

1.0mm boost jets

Apexi Induction kit

Baileys BOVs

Twin 4" S/S Full System (with cat still on)

Thanks in advance,

ide be starting to check for a boost leak mate

Thought of that too. But when I hit the throttle, the boost remains at 7.5psi instead of an unstable reading. This should suggest that it is OK, but I may have a wee look round too.

did this just start after fitting boost gauge or before

Not sure because I wasnt able to tell with the standard boost gauge. I think it feels as powerful as before. I cant really tell though cos I drive it once every few weeks after driving a 1.1 206 all week it feels amazing everytime I get in it.

well with 1mm jets you should be getting 15psi,and after driving the 205 it would give you a nose bleed.ive know after market gauges to be faulty by the way. iff your boosting to 15psi your standed gauge should be 1 click from far right on full boost

Cool I will have a wee look at that too. Going out to take some more pics just now so that I can update these ones in my sig.

Be back in a while I will have a look the standard gauge as I go.

did you already do a ECU diagnostic check ?

You could have a faulty det. sensor causing the safetyboost. (code 34)

-Eric

I'd run an ECU diagnostic, if you haven't already.

No I didnt do a diagnostic check. I will try get one arranged for the next time I am home. Do you guys mean the mobile guys who come and do it??

OK done the diagnostic and codes 13 and 21 are coming up. I also done a check on the o2 sensors and the left one is not working right.

Where can I buy the o2 sensors from and how much are they??

Also does codes 13 and 21 occur when the o2 sensor is like that or is it something else?

TIA,

What harness and connector does it talk about, the one for the ECU?? Also where is the engine coolant temperature sensor?

As for 21, it has a replaced and working PTU inplace so surely this isnt the problem. Sounds to me that the harness isnt connected up very well even though if it is the ECU connector, I checked it loads of times when replacing it

Go to the FAQ at top right of page, go in to engine then engine by numbers.

OK back again. Forgot to mention,

I hear and feel a buzz coming from the ECU on start up sometimes what is that?? Usualy only lasts a second or so but that last time I started it was 3 seconds.

Oh BTW when it says harness and connector, does that mean the one at the ECU or is it another?

Thanks,
