Team,

Thought you might want some pics of my new custom made pipe as an alternative look to the many options out there.

Its a full stainless de-cat system in 2.5 inch pipe (not excessively droney but still good flow) with custom back boxes designed specifically for good flow and good sound conservation. It sounds cool but will still sound cool after a 300 mile M-way trip which was my design brief. :hyper:

Think opinions may be polarised on the 'look' but I like it.

Guys the Bottom line £600 notes custom fitted to my car at the factory.

Cannot say enough good stuff about Ian and the guys at blueflame

It has really liberated performance +49HP :D :D :D according to my Apexi and was the missing link for my tuning. :D

The poll is good deal or not?

Spec:-

Mines Light Tune ECU

Blitz Filter

360deg bearing turbos

Stillen Intercoolers

Blueflame Custom Exhaust

where's the poll?!!? haha.

Good results, and glad you're happy with it (who gives a **** what everyone else thinks!!).

It a standard Blueflame/Mongoose exhaust with 3 tips instead of 2 then..

very popular exhaust.

but 49hp ? .....unless perhaps you had stock exhaust with the jap restrictors before, which was really inhibatating the others mods you have done.

Not keen I'm afraid bud. Too many pipes. You're happy with it though, so good on ya. :duffer:

I think this looks fantastic.

I definitely haven't seen anyone else with these tips on a Zed...

Well done mate.

sorry but

OH DEAR OH DEAR

each to their own i suppose but i think it should be on some nasty nova or sh1tty saxo not a zed, please remove it it degrades us all ;)

Definitely not my cup 'o tea I'm afraid mate, but good on yer for being brave enough to be different.

I'm having mine done next week, and I haven't a clue what I want yet so who knows what mine will end up like!!

I am having a nice single oval exit each side, the tips are at the engravers right now having an enscription in Kanji on each side.

Got it in one Bud My stock Jap exhaust was THE bottleneck to all my other mods. My mines ECU is mapped for Intercoolers, boost up, induction and Exhaust. So Just shows how much a std exhaust and cats cans strangle things. Got a 295 to 300 before and got 349 horses on this cold morning today.

As to the looks yeah I know it may look a bit max power corsa-ish BUT remember my design goals i wanted it a drone-free zone as it is a motorway stomping machine. The stock Blue flame system is 2.25" pipe and oval end cans but the cans made it dronesville in the car (annoying as hell after 20 miles). Same goes for many of the jap sewage pipe look-alikes that flow well but also make a big noise. And dont get me onto that £800 full system from the big name jap tuning house that is MILD STEEL for Fook sake

Ah right, yeh 2.5", compared to the stock Blueflame 2.25" Wondered why it cost you more than the usual price.

They offer 2 tailpipe options, the same as yours but with 2 tips, and the oval is the new option. The Blueflame 2 tip setup is the most popular 300zx exhaust.

The 2-3k drone is actually to do with the removal of the H-pipe in the sytem, which in standard form helps to reduce the drone.

Very few 300zx Aftemarket exhausts actually cause a motorway drone, even the 5" tip varieties.

:x:

Ian @ Blueflame was telling me about this the other day as I'm off over there in 10 days time to have a custom made zorst fitted to my NA SWB.

Good on yer for doing it but it's not my cup of tea. I'll be having the 6x4 ovals fitted to mine. :D

Thanks Team I love the way something as simple as zorst can polarise opinions :D

Its kinda the point really....... :hyper:

Do things a little Different........and watch the opinions roll in.

Now then what about spoilers...............LOL

Their designers told me they have now stopped doing the twin tip design as a std. There are old stocks around but the oval is the new std pipe for 300's. Tastes change and oval is 'in' now. apparently

Not my cup of tea mate, but Car styling and modification is purely subjective, it's your car, if you like it, does it matter what anyone else thinks??

BTW I've got a veilside evolution system on mine and it sounds Luvverly. :hyper:

Sorry bud, deffo not my cuppa tea, but as been said, Its your car, if you like it, go for it and sod the rest of em :)

has anyone ever had a central exhaust exit like an elise or boxster? think that would look pretty good!

Yep, Luke at the Zcentre

Pics of it somewhere on this here forum :)

Very diplomatic mate ;)

That was the edited version

Not really my cup of tea,but arn't several small pipes supposed to flow better than one big one? like with several inlet/outlet valves on an engine. Just something I heard so could be wrong. In which case maybe technically its a good idea?

:hurl:

Just looks totally wrong. Kinda like that frog with three heads. IMO of course
