piece of piss to fit, but probably the worst filtration! Got one on mine, but ill definitely swap when upgrade turbos!

I had one of them mate

Changed it for an Apexi - never looked back ;)

i suppose it wasnt a very wise purchase then.

never mind

i had similar one on my Skyline.I found they well overpriced when Apexi ones do the same job as HKS.Though the HKS mushroom filters do look better.BUt then again you will never see it once u put the nose cone back on lol

I have one and I have never had any problems what so ever one of the best things I ever bought, been through puddles and everything cracking filter and Danny at DTA can get spare foam filters when old one gets filthy and clogged. I paid a £100 plus when I originally bought mine and I am chuffed to bits. Sounds nice as well, would not swap it for anything.

Was going to say HKS make some of the best filters you can buy so dont worry about it lots of people have their own personnel preference

I have a hks on mine they may not filter as well as an apexi but they flow air better who cares they are designed for power gains .Thats why big power turbo cars run no filter or a wire mesh or a trumpet.

I had a HKS like that on mine and it was great through the summer, then after some big journeys in the rain I trashed the MAF, then got a blitz sus and did the same again! although I am suspicious that the second MAF had been repaired as it didn't have the inside mesh. I've now got a standard air box on and an Apexi filter waiting to be fitted. I'm considering keeping the standard air box on until the rain calms down in a few months.

i have two fitted to my car and have never had any problems. plus they do look nice (if you stick your head under car!)

The Apexi offers better filteration than the hks AND better airflow.

Sorry to Jump there in Dave!! :D

I don't know why everyone keeps getting filter problems in the wet..

I've got the Blitz Sus air filter, vented front nose cone, fine mesh removed from the MAF and NO air filter under tray, it's all been completly removed for max air intake... Had this system on My Z for 4 years now and never had any problems in the wet at all!!! Maybe jap MAF's differ from UK ones in some way or there are just some dodgy MAF'S out there???

If any one suffers from downpours it should be me but my Z has never hesatated, been lumpy or any other common symptoms...

Yes i said apexis filter better than hks but because they filter better they are slightly more restrictive .Also hks can suck air in all around the filter as apexi has a plastic cone on top .Ive had both apexi and hks. There is more indution noise from hks so to me that says more air getting in and less restrictive.

Thats what I am thinking to as I have seen the aApexi filter and its also a lot smaller than my HKS.

Ms factory in japan rebrand these as there own filter so the must be fairly good.
