Hook, line and sinker!!

:xxx:

put the link in the 'poole and bournemouth meet thread'

did you put oit in the raffle thread bob?

Bob, maybe its worth getting the SOC to lock the parts of the thread where Paul says who won the auction for legal reasons, and so he doesn't get the wind up his arse and change his post.

Good thinking, i`ll PM admin now

its amazing how quickly a problem can cause such unrest across a couple of forums and its members band together to help one another.Should put off any potential scammers trying to pull a fast one like that again.

I was just thinking the same thing. If the internet wasn't here nobody would have been able to put it all together like this.

im off as well be interesting to see how this develops.Would be a good plot line in a soap opera lol

the common love for fast jap cars (especially Nissan) pulls through again.

Fast jap cars, behave yourself, this is a 300zx forum!!! Only kiddin, is good we can pull together though and that any differences we have are just friendly banter (is for me anyway!)

Cheers mate, we`ll keep everyone posted on this.

I have not long got in from work. I should have gone to bed but FOOK that this is about the best thing I have read for yonks. I would be supprised if he lasts another day. The bloke should be tied between a 300ZX and a skyline and a tug of war should then take place. the car with the biggest piece should be crowned the winner.

That will settle any arguements and he will get hes just deserves.

I really and truely hope all you guys who bought tickets get your hard earned money back.

The guy got back to me saying the draw was won and I could believe what I want. I've asked for a list of names and addresses of participants. I think its law that anyone can ask for these, does anyone know the ins and outs of these things with respect to the law. I don't generally like to jump to conclusions but this thing looks so fishy I can't see the water they are swimming in. Scams around the forums shouldn't be let to happen. I can understand that sometimes things go pair shaped but this at least needs investigating.

I've just spoke to Paul on the phone. He's now got the car back off of Nick and is refunding the tickets that were sold. Apparently only 75 tickets were actually paid for with the others supposed to be paid for before the auction. Regardless of what actually happened he is definately making the right decision! I wouldn't envy anyone having 75 disgruntled car owners on their doorstep. I'll post up once the money has been sent through. Dave

F*ckin ell!! I couldnt believ what i was reading, then i got to the ebay auction!

What a stupid chancing coont!!

Silly thing is, with a bit of good organising, a good place for the raffle (JAE etc) he could have made a mint, and everyone would have been happy. Especially the winner. What a cock!

I reckon the reason it went like it did was because he couldn't sell enough tickets to cover it. The most obvious thing to me is £4100 ebay auction + £1500 (75 ticket at £20 a pop) = £5600, roughly what he wanted for the car. His mate gets a cheap car. Maybe I'm being suspicious, but probably not!
