Took the Zed out today...for the first time in ages.

After not driving the car for nearly 2 months and fitting new plates and rear lights, I had a strong erge to get the zed out of the garage and take it for a spin today.

Although it was a bit damp, I didn't mind really as the roads were clear from salt/grit after the rain we've had.

Not sure why, but I just didn't feel as excited as I usually do (although the anticipation was there before I got in). Not sure why. I think it was a combination of dull light, poor weather and just not really having much of a chance to boost it a bit.

Got back, dried the car off and put it back in the garage and just lost all enthusiasm for a bit. Dunno why as I still love the car.

I think it's the whole 'winter' thing. Not being able to enjoy the car, all nice and shiney, with the t-tops off and the sun blazing down on you.

:(

Me too Si :hyper:

In fact I was down your way today - Julia and I had a day out in Bath. Went round the Christmas market, had Sunday lunch in the Pump Room and had a gentle stroll round the city.

I hadn't used the ZX for 2 weeks and really missed it. The 200 mile return drive was all the better for taking it

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Gonna be about 5 months before i can take mine out again! :(

Richard, you should have said, I'd have come up. Bath's a lovely city. :)

Just wish I'd have enjoyed the drive today more. It MUST be the weather. Loved driving it in the summer.

Si mate i have been trying to get the front bumper secured on mine for three weeks and hadnt driven it for 3 weeks before that and STILL didnt get to drive it after securing today !!!! Had to deliver a sofa to the brother in law then sort out kids then tidy the house so i have just sat down now and i,m really cheesed offf !!!!!!!

Not drove mine for younks, had a quick spin in it a week ago, but i didnt leve the estate as i didnt want to go on the salty roads.

So its more or less sat in the garange for the past 6 weeks, i better go check its still there!

I've got another 250mile journey back down to Cornwall tomorrow. If I don't lose my toes to frost bite it'll be great. I'm going to get a winter run about for commuting once I've got some money but I'm sure the Zed will keep going all winter. Nice dense cold air to suck into the engine and make it go faster! Dave

Not driven mine for 3 months :( Should be back on the road soon though
