Apparently the w ankers where about round his way and they chucked paint over his car. So he shot the f uckers with his paintball gun after chasing them down in said car.

From what his missus tells me a few of them decided to stop and confront him not knowing what he had and got some rough justice. 3 hoppers worth

yep, you could give him beating if it was one of yours. Just as soon as he gets out of hospital ;)

What i'm saying is sometimes kids get caught up in things and whilst they don't participate they also don't do anything about it. Being shot in the face is not a suitable punishment for this 'crime' of being there.

Also you have to consider, yep great shoot the feckers that did it, no arguements here, but, a stray shot catches an innocent bystander and blinds them. I'm sure if you/someone you knew was this person you'd be mighty peeved that the police/courts did nothing to stop this person from driving round shooting at people with a paintball gun in the future (whether he was morally right or not do so).

Crime and punishment, not always as simple as 2+2.

:) Happy days :)

I can definitely see where you're coming from, and yeah I probably would be concerned if somebody round here went on the rampage with a paintball gun, but on the other hand I'm fortunate enough not to live in an area where gangs of kid persistently roam around causing trouble and vandalising peoples' property. Like I said before, I can't honestly say I think it's a good idea, but I can understand him doing it in the heat of the moment. And I do think, as a few others have pointed out, that he's probably going to get the book thrown at him. Shame it won't get thrown at the kids involved as well.

 Well IMHO he did good :D

But He is by Law he is well in the wrong :nono: just wonder what charge they are going to do him under :(

Common assault.

ABH

GBH

others are wounding with intent this aint a good one :nono:

and there is the greater charge of Attempt murder, this may seem harsh but if there is evidence that he went looking for them with a Gun (no matter what gun) then he could be up Shite creek with out a paddle :(

But i would be very supprised if he dont go down for min 2yrs +.......sorry fella :(

I believe I'm correct in saying that in certain states of the US, eg Louisiana, that your car is considered an extension of your house and therefore is subject to the same 'self defence' (defense) laws. So the outcome of this is that if you catch someone breaking into your car you can 'legally' shoot them in the street.

Of course the US is a so called civilised (civilized) society, so you could be arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. However, if it's in a holster on your belt then that's OK. (This is whay many American pickups have a gun rack in the back window - then the weapon is not 'concealed').

Which would you prefer UK or US ? Discuss ....

To play devils advocate ...

What if it was your kid that was shot? Sure some of these are proper no hopers and will be in and out of jail shoot them as much as you like, but, all to often there are a couple of stragglers who get drawn in to some degree. I know when I was younger 99% of the time I was a good little boy but on the odd occasion out with mates, who bump in to someone else they know, his mates do something and your just there. Now being there makes you as responsible as the person doing the deed. But sometimes you can't walk away (too far from home no money, your mates may not want to leave so your own your own). Now that's your child and someone has just chased them in a car and shot them in the face with a paintball gun. Can you honestly say it's fair punishment for not having the courage to say no?

All IMO of course.

If i had a child that came back with cuts/bruises etc... then yes i would be initially upset... but if i then latter found out why i would personally paint ball some sense into him myself.. its the soft-pussy footed-stoned idiots that call them selves parents that are to blame, you don't have to hit your child to teach it respect or manners.

If they step out of line throw there favorite toy in the bin, or smash it up, they will soon learn that there are consequences.

so in answer to ur final question... YES i think its fair punishment and good for him, what if your misses was at home on her own and a bunch of youth's the same size, if not bigger where knocking about running over cars and throwing paint at the house-car-etc.

I know mine would be in pieces and i would be thankful for someone taking some action to protect the local community from scum like this.

(steps off soap box) :D

people the law in this country protects no one! Fair play to the bloke that done this. What would the old bill have done ??? Not a lot (if they had caught them! ) The only language these idiots understand unfortunatly is violence!

The only reason he might go to jail is because of the firearm usage, if he had doshed with a bat or something he would of escaped prison easy !

The best of luck to ya i hope they look apon you kindly and they dont send you away .

The obvious answer lies neatly between the two ;)

USA is full of gung-ho gun toting crazy gangstas and hillbillies (or "sons of the soil ;) ) who would sooner shoot you than say hello; whilst over here honest law-abiding citizens are powerless to stop an intruder without fear of being prosecuted themselves :( .

I believe that of someone breaks into your house with the inten to commit a crime they should automatically have no human rights, anything you do to them should be legal as they shoud not be there in the first place. Similar should apply to your car PROVIDING IT'S ON YOUR PROPERTY. If it's on the road that's a grey area, although if they have broken in and are still inside that's grounds for the baseball bat :x:

Once caught and convicted the little scrotes should be dealt a swift kicking or locked in the stocks for a day to teach them a harsh lesson. But no, what does this government do? Give them a free holiday to the Carribean

Who say's crime doesn't pay

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Reminds me of the story about the man who wakes up to find his garage being broken into, in which he keeps a valuable classic car.

Being a law abiding chap he calls the police to which the response is "I'm sorry sir, we can't send anyone round for 2 hours."

"But they are here now, you'll catch them in the act if you come now"

"I'm sorry sir, we have no-one available for at least 2 hours"

Five minutes later the man calls the police again and says "It's me again - I called to tell you about the scrotes breaking into my garage. Well there's no hurry now, I've just shot them!"

Within 5 minutes there are 3 police cars, 2 vans and the local helicopter with countless coppers at his house. They see the 2 scrotes just about to enter the garage and arrest them. The chief officer says to the man "I thought you said you had just shot them?"

The man replies "I thought you couldn't send anyone for 2 hours!" :D

Actually in a lot of states you can get a permit to carry a concealed weapon, and it's not even that difficult: I don't even think you need to be a US citizen.

When I was in the States recently I spent some time with a guy in California who's going through the application process to become a police officer. He took me shooting and I was asking about the gun laws there. Basically if you're a convicted felon you cannot ever (legally) own a handgun, anyone else just has to go through a background check with FBI having filled out the appropriate form. Takes about 2 weeks, and like I say, you don't even have to be a US citizen. From there you can then apply to carry a concealed weapon. I think you have to go through some sort of training or sit a test or something, but it's just not that difficult.
