whats happening on here i used to come on at night and there used to be a full page of posts to look through and reply to if i knew the answer but now i come on and there are hardly any posts and people that do put new posts up hardly get any replyes so where is everybody come on get posting

We do seem to have lost some of the older members which I think is a real shame

 

Don't forget that Tinky Turbo is not posting at the mo, I think he is ill and he usually makes up half the posts lol.

This place in all honesty sucks. It is absolute crap at the moment. And i think all the old members think the same. When i joined this forum it was really and truly something good.Now with the likes of banzai and porker exct it is just full of crap.

 

We all have one thing in common yet we all pick on each other (making reference to things like someone posting about a website and then getting shot down and being told it has already been done)??? things like that honestly does it really matter, it is supposed to be a place for sharing things.

Opinions on this forum mean you are wrong no matter what.

It started when the banter on the posts was stopped. True it was anoying when you posted something and it didnt get answered, but most of the funny banter came as a result of people asking questions.

But now there is a tech forum, its coming like the TT.net site, where the tech is hardly looked at and the general forum is full of NZR! posts.

Good strings where made from questions or suggestions about the Z, progressed into some of the funniest things I have ever read. But now that its on the tech forum there is nothing to talk about. I thought this is a Z forum. We talk about our Zs. We cant ask questions here cos it belongs in the tech forum. So what can we talk about? We all know the spec of the car so we cant talk about that. We dont say to people "I drove my car today", or, "I put petrol in."

The only thing that people can talk about there car on a daily basis is the problems that you have or you think somthing is gonna go wrong. After the help the friendly banter started.

I say bring the Tech back here, but people must be helped first, and new members are helped with minimum fuss.

I can understand some people who say its daunting for new members to get into the group, especially with every one else knowing eachother so well. Even I dont consider myself "IN" with yous. But we all were at that stage sometime, and we all made it.

I say throw away the "NEW RULES" and bring back the tech questions into this forum and lets get back to the way it was. I am sure Timmy_Turbo would feel the same.

It may just be that some of the original or older members have covered every topic under the sun with regard to these fabulous cars and don't find much to post about now.

Let's face it you must have covered just about every subject relating to 300ZXs several times over by now on this forum.

To the newcomers it is still exciting however.

As a rule, most people seem to get on ok here without any arguments but you will always get an occasional flare up when talking about cars.It's a passionate subject sometimes; discussing ones pride and joy.

True the funniest wierdest stuff i have ever seen has been on here, some of it done by me. The feeling i got from SOME people is that this sort of stuuf wasent allowed because it was fun and we showed that we had a sense of humour. Thats why noone posts anymore. Yes people want wuestions answered, but they wanna have a laugh aswell. Please can we have it like it used to be, and all u serious ones out there SMILE!!!! YOU MIGHT LIKE IT!!!!

I wanna take this back to the top - there was a vote of some sort on the General Forum not so long back about creating a Technical Section... myself I said no, but thats no big deal, lots said no lots said yes.... but 300zx.co.uk is now very two-tier. I myself rarely venture into the technical part. Partly because my Zed is running great and more importantly because I feel intimidated - I know not alot about the questions being asked and if I do make a reply to a question I probably get it wrong - as an example:

I gave the wrong advice on where the power steering resevoir was located - I actually went down to my gagage with my FinePix 4800 and photographed my engine, came upstairs and resized and edited it in photoshop with an arrow, pointing to the brake fliud resevoir (i know why I did this, long story and a different thread on TTNET) - but here is the thing, if Bryane had pumped DextronIII in there he;d be fucked, if that was a thread on here then everyone would laugh and say oooyy got it WRONG etc.. (as it happened they laughed it off and said that on the technical forum) - net result, me never venturing in there again.. Im sort of waffling but i am trying to say that the techical forum is just that - TECHNICAL. As a net result this 'General' forum is left in limbo... members dont want to post help requests on general for fear of upsetting someone (who? i dunno) and over at technical its all.. well its horrible if you ask me. Its like the clever people in one room and the funny people in the other.

300zx.co.uk only works when the clever people and the funny people are in the same room.

The Tech Forum is somthing that you goto when you first log on cos you see the light bulb on, and you dont really see it again. If people want a fast answer they post it in here. It like TT.net

Loads of times I have seen posts in the tech section go unanswered for ages. Then the goto the General Forum and either ask the same question where they get an answer and then get bollocked, or they post, help me in the tech, and the question is answered.

And its a good point what you said. If no one noticed your picture for a while, steering fluid would have gone in the brake res. And you would have had the shit ripped out of you and all sorts. But the correct location would have come in a few mins. And then back into ripping the Shit out of you and at meetings it will be "Dont let Glenn near your brakes." And we will rip into you personally, you would fell like shit and all embarrased, but it would be great fun for us

I have nothing personally against Timmy Turbo but FFS this forum doesn't revolve agound him, to be totally honest the drivel that was being posted by him was beginning to get me down, I made light of it in the hope that it might lighten up a bit.

Personally i prefer the forum without tinky dinky but thats my opinion.

I just wish the members that actually know anything would come back cause some of the techi on here is frightening.

I'm just amazed that in my absence there has still been such a high level of fighting, bitchyness, backstabbing and general Z forum fun and games! Something that fills me with warmth and happiness is knowing that I had fuck all to do with any of it...so proves it's not just me then?

Couldn't agree more with most of the replies on this thread. 300Z, no offence, but you do keep trying to start a lot of arguments and knocking people. It's been said before and it'll be said again: if you don't like something, don't read it. And, for God's sake, don't reply to it.

Just because i wasent registered does not mean that i didnt read the posts and know the people on it. Personally i dont think owning a skyline GTR-R really warrents being a member of the 300ZX forum. Now that i have another 300ZX after having the skyline in between this 300 and my first one i am registered. OK???????
