After reading the posts on "been given this !!! will it fit" i have now come to the conclusion that i know NOTHING about the Z, thought i was clued up... guess i was wrong.... so.....

if i want big.. usable power what do i need? i have Nos.. a Blitz ECU and my Apexi ECU plug in says im pushing 380 ish on a real good day! although its been rolling roaded recently by some1 and they say 310!!

i have T25 turbo's with a heavy uprated clutch and have been told i have forged pistons and metal gasket when bought.. although this has been disputed recently so now im not so shure!

im running what i think is standard boost..

im guessing my first mod should be giving the boost a kick in the back side?

but as for turbo's..... any recomendations?

and what else needs doing!?

i know the list is endless but any writen order they should be done in?

ohh and i also have my cats still fitted but have been told its best to leave them in!

Cheers all

T25's wont flow 380 bhp

what will give 380bhp? my ultimate goal is around 400 - i know im gonna need new tubs to do it, but what should i be getting?

i know this is a really ambiguous question but this is one of next years jobs anyway!

Brett that car is standard....

The clutch is very good.. much better than the rubbish you had fitted beforehand..

The Nitrous will detonate your engine if u use it too much, as none of the internals have been strengthened... The same as if you up the boost.... So really you need to start doing the nitty gritty stuff instead of thinking i want mroe power.. Theres more to life that power, as youve gotta have the car to handle the power first...

Put it this way.. i was embarassed in a Rover Coupe 1.8 VVC in that acr when it was running nice... Thats how slow it is!

   oh dear !

Id be very embarassed too..

Oh, and another classic.. before he sold the car to me.. he explained how he had beaten a lamourghini Murchialago on a Motorway...

I should have smelt the shit running down his leg there and then!

i think my Apexi monitor will be showing BHP at the fly not the wheels...

you'll find its running between 220-230bhp at the wheels Brett.. had it checked already.....

Apexi Monitor not telling the truth too? Yikes, that car has a mind of its own! Just like the owner! lol

T25's wont flow 380 bhp

Hybrid T25's will, ask CJ..... :duffer: Same tubs as mine and I know I have gotta be right next to 380......

They will at the Fly

Just seen this, CJ got 420ish with the stage 2's, RR figures....

Girls can we keep the bitching out of here....seems that every thread brakedust300 starts, he gets jumped on.

TBH, I don't care about your personal problems, solve them yourselves in your own time away from the board. This is a great forum that has a lot of great people on....don't want all that flushed down the toilet. So PaulFWx...keep arguments via PMs.

Peace :)

Basis for tuning bud is a solid engine 1st , Het it checked out by someone who knows zeds well and go from there. Also junk the Nos mate will only bring more problems !!

yep - best figures i ever achieved on T28/25 hybrid stage II's were

344 at the wheels at THOR at 14psi

420 (calculated) at the fly at engine advantages

and those turbos would not do any more - beleive me i tried

Regards,

alex

Hi Alex, hope all is well bud, got that engine patched up yet?

How come you only ran 14psi? I ahev been running 17 for a while now with a fooked head gasket too, would the figures have increased with increased boost??

Cheers

Mark.

they may of mate i'm not sure - i dont really know but i suspect i had bleed though on the wastegates - i dont know of anyone who has dyno figures much above this though on these turbos.

Are the T25's on the Zed smaller than the ones on the S13 200sx as they flow are for approx 1.5 L not 1.8?

On the sx i found that 15psi was maxing out the standard turbo and did little for its life span!! and it suffered from boost drop off at about 5500rpm.

does this happen on the Zed ? ?

I'm running 14psi on what I believe is standard T25's and it revs all the way to 7000rpm happily. Car ran 310bhp at the wheels on rolling road test.

Has blitz dual sbc and hks super afr properly setup for optimax and runs fine all day long, though I do try to use standard boost alot to save a bit of stress on the engine/turbos.

I see, well I'll give you soem figures in the new year mate after the coolers are on and the head gasket is sorted.

anywhere around 400 and I'll be happy. I'm running her at the pod on the 25th, lets hope the HG holds out!!! :D

I'm not saying it wont rev to 7k rpm, but does it keep to 14psi all the way to 7krpm, or does it drop off at the high rev range??

just curious.

The zed does'nt run standard T25's. It runs Garret Hybrids . The Exhaust turbine is from the T2 and the Air compresor from the T25.
