Thats a big set of wheels mate! IMO you can go to big and make the car look like its on stilts. Dave

I reckon you're pushing it with 20s mate, as you would have trouble getting low enough profile tyres to keep the overall wheel diameter reasonable.

Stick with a maximum of 19s. 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear.

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I've got 19's going on mate and IMO they look just right for the Zed...any bigger would look wrong and compromise the ride/handling too much. Plus, it's expensive enough getting decent performance tyres in a 19" fitment...I dread to think what it would cost for a set of 20's!

I agree 100% Dave 18 is spot on for a Z IMHO

I'll third that, but on a different note have you seen any that size that would go on a z32?

It took me ages to find the wheels that I liked to fit my car and now its off the road and I can't really get them yet due to lack of funds but if any style of wheels fit I would have got some straight away.

Nice to be different though ;) I think you will get away with them on the rear but the fronts would probs foul up on the upper suspension linkage

Bit dodgy. Just IMHO, but I reckon some 19s even look too big for the zed. I've got 18s and TBH wouldn't want to go any bigger. Daft question, but is there any way you can try before you buy? It's a lot of money to part with otherwise.

i managed to have an advance set of tsw tribes on mine when i got it, tsw have only just released them now..

when i asked them what model they were they wanted to know how i had a set of alloys that weren't available yet on my car, seems the ones on mine were advance shop demo rims that should of gone back!! not my problem though.. but they just fit straight onto the car and look very nice.

I want 19's, got my eye on some axis wheels. i've been told alot of 19's wont fit due to the tt front calipers??

I think 20's are to big. Got a set of 19's comin from Jason after me holls.

Problem with 19s 20s is that as you get bigger and bigger you try and fit lower and lower profile tyres to get them under the wheelarch then theres concerns about gearing and ABS etc..then you end up with virtually no tyre sidewall at all and massive doses of kerb rash.

Tyres are the car and you want some sidewall to keep compliance with the road. Look at manufacturers as they fit bigger and bigger wheels they compromise with tyre wall height always keeping a realistic sidewall height which they are free to do in the design stage.

Its a trade off looks for drivability

Id stick at 18s personally but some 19s do look the dogs

thx for all your input boys, but seen as though my car is low or seems low due to my front bumper its still at its normal hight and the wheels i have for it dont fill the arches at all and there 18"s and i just want sum that do.

what do you suggest.

19"s wont make much of a difference but 20"s ive been told will.

help

karl

Here is a Z on 20"'s.........

Lovely rim, overpriced mind but lovely, i nearly got them before i got my Ducks

Karl, your car looks great as it is. I'd go for 19s. 20s will give you haemerrhoids (I'll bet I've spelt that wrong) for sure as suggested by Chunk's post. But at the end of the day, I guess if the worst comes to the worst you can just sell them if you don't like them.

Some people have problems with calipers.

I've got some reconditioned TT calipers on my car, the previous owner had completely ground off the raised Nissan logo in order to get his rims to fit.

I don't think it is the diameter of the rims that matters so much as the correct offsets etc.

Mike...

I wouldn't go to 20's or even 19's to be honest.

Have you actually checked the tyre prices?!?!

Lower the car on 18's and it will look spot on and cost you a lot less in the long run.

Some 19's and certainly 20's just look stupid IMHO

As do Nova's with 18's  LOL
