Somewhat depressed ! The offset of either the calipers or the discs is wrong and it's also the 'wrong' way too. ie it can't be fixed by spacers it's a machining the calipers, the carrier or a different disc offset .... Bummer ....

O dear....sorry to hear this andy..you were soooooooo looking forward to these as well.

Im sure it can be sorted....

If you know what you need machined then I may be able to help via me cnc buddy ;)

Oh b*ggar, sorry to hear that mate. I thought you'd Id'd them as r34 ones? I guess they must be from something else? thats the french for you! really sorry to hear that mate. Maybe you can make something up?? Dave

They certainly look the same as R34 or even 350Z but I hadn't actually lined them up side by side.

Now if I could space out the disc a little .... somehow doesn't seem like a good idea.

Can you buy discs with different offsets ? Will have to look in the Brembo catalogue or similar ....

A least I got a lot of house painting done whilst I was thinking about it.

Sorted !

Turns out my new calipers are off a 350Z, which is basically the same as the Skyline except for the offset. So thanks to Mike Feeney I now have a set of matching 350Z discs - perfect !

Just done a trial fit so far, will complete the job tomorrow.

Good news bud! Glad to hear that, hope it all goes smoothly now. Dave

Jobs a good'un. Gotta let them bed in a bit but they feel pretty good already.

Andy what size are those 350z brake discs ???

Looking at the cost of brakes from the us cat Stillen the big brakes there are £1516 but they are 14.25 inches and 6 pot Brembo or AP

That is so expensive when you add the duty & freight...does anyone else in the UK do 14.25 inch disc kit.

Your Brakes look to be the absolute best buy at £600

Just about £600 !

 Fook good call. Thought the Brembos on me bike cost a lot

Good to see you got it sorted.

Dia is 324mm, same as the Skylines. 350Z brakes look identical to the Skylines only the offset is slightly different. New 350 discs cost about £172+VAT each, but I got a pair of very low milage 2nd hand ones. I'm told the the OEM Skyline discs are a ridiculous price each !!! (So buy my brand new spare pattern pair for £200!)

Hey Andy are your brand new paterned ones with a bell on ??, I might be interested #Richard

They're a single piece disc, just like the originals (only much larger). I can post a pic if it helps.

No, the pads got fitted with the calipers. Sorry. Smithy does them though.

Hi Andy after reading your ost i decided to get straight on the phone and lo and behold one set of gold 4 pot Brembos and disks from a 350Z will be here with me on Wednesday

Any issues with fitting them brake pipes etc.?Or is it a straight plug and play?

Thanks

Steve.
