i have 2 sheared wheel nuts on my Z.. one on the front and one on the back, i have the wheels and discs off both but cant see how to get the studs off... any help would be ace... cheers!

they should just tap out, there is a gap at the back of the hub to allow for this, well on the rear, not sure about the front

I'm waiting for the answer too, I've got a couple of sheared bolts on the front. It didn't look like they would come out seperately but I may be wrong?

You can use a punch to knock them out, on the front ones just make sure that then stud you are knocking out is lined up with the recess in the stub axle, then just give it a good whack.

cheers mate.. ill give that a try!

Cool, I'm off to beat up my front hubs! Are they standard type bolts? can I just stick a normal one from a hardware store in there?

Er, no ! You want a feck off strong ones ! Nissan (eg Mike Feeney) will supply you with the correct ones, or longer ones if you have those dodgy wheel spacers etc

Also make sure you get the right ones as front and back are different......the fronts are ever so slightly thicker at the base, i have got to do one of my fronts either tomorrow or fri ;)

Knocking them in shouldn't be that hard. Just get 'em some of the way in then then use washers or even the wheel and just do the nut up to pull 'em the rest of the way.

don't get too excited till you try and fit them . When I got mine from nissan I asked the guy 5 times are you sure these are the correct ones for the rear wheels ."yup" says he. "so you're little dealership always carry the special size required for the rear of a 14 year old 300zx even though it's an import?" says I. "yup" says he.

:nono: :nono: :nono: nissan talking through their arse as usual.

Mike Feeney to the rescue (as usual) :)
