Folks, who has driven a Skyline GTR33 Vspec and compared it to their Zed??

I would be most interested in opinions on this... I've been lurking over at gtr.co.uk and frankly cant make head nor tail of any of it LOL... Seems a common complaint on the GTR is tram-lining and insurance!!

ive been quoted £1500 to insure a GTR R33 fully-comp with zero NCD, same as the Zed and am trying to talk meself out of buying one!

Anyways .. keep it sideways..

The 300zx is undoubtably a fast car, but has an unforunate 'council estate' image nowadays.

The Skyline is a very fast car,(as an owner proved to me recently)and also has iconic status with the general public, as a devastating Supercar!

There is nothing wrong with my gearbox that SE are accountable for, trust me, if that were the case I'd have been onto Pete like a vaginal infection!!!

 

My smoking problem was there just after I bought the car and is the rear seal which is being sorted! ATF tube was also not right and not connected to the bell housing...again...nothing to do with SE!

 

Fucks sake mate, ring me up and we'll discuss this like grown men...

For a start those web pages quote BHP/liter... What is a liter FFS??? How can you trust figures from a site that can't even spell the most basic car terms???

 

Secondly that site quotes the Z as 220BHP??? Another WTF belongs here Disconnect a coil pack or two and you will get 220BHP, run on all cylinders and you're more likely putting at minimum 280BHP so stick that where the sun don't shine

The Skyline is a better car dynamically than the Z, the figures are there to prove it, but it is also a much younger car than the Z, and while you might complain Timmy about running costs, show me a car released in 1989 with half the technology/performance/handling that the Z has that is more reliable? there simply isn't one. (BMW 850 anyone? now there is an unreliable car).
