can anyone help? my z screams from time to time sometimes when i first start it,sometimes at high revs especially when usein the kick down i asume a belt is loose, but it doesnt always do it.also last weekend after a hard run it leaked about a pint of water from around the passenger side weel arch.i can not find any leakin pipes and it hasnt done it since.anyone got any ideas?

the leak could be the aircon drain pipe.

yeah thanks! it does drip when ive had aircon on. the water was rusty brown, does that sound right to u? the radiator water level seemed to go down a bit aswell?

it was bubblin aswell !

best thing to do is let the car idle with the aircon on and see if it does it again. Top up the rad level and keep a very close eye on that.

thanks mate,ill try that now.

all you need is a 12mm spanner most likely to be alternator either overtightened or to loose, probably to loose tensioner is at side of alternator at the front of the car bottom left

screaming is most likely the fan belt

screaming is most likely the fan belt

or my missus in the passenger seat :D

it was my missus screamin in it today !! cheers for your help guys.

i would have thought its the rad overflow bottle dropping excess fluid

do you know if it would bubble while do so?

do you know if it would bubble while do so?

if its bubbles theres air in there, air is not good in the cooling systym well not to much anyhow, keep topping rad up until no bubbles come to the surface

when you top the rad up remember to unscrew the bleed screw on the other side of the rediator most of the way (fill at the radiator, not the overflow), and run the engine with the eng-con on until the coolant starts to bubble out the bleed screw. Then do it up. This will get the water into the system and also bleed the air.

it only bubbled the day it lost the water.i havent had to top it up since and its been fine! im sure if there is a problem it will resurfice.thanks for your help lads!
