Depending on how low your car is, and how high the kirbstones are round your way, you could park one side of the car up on the kird and that should give you enough room :)

I drive car onto couple of slats of wood (wide wood :p )

that gives me enough room to get my arm in.

I use a couple of bricks and a small triangle of wood to drive the wheel up onto them.

Just being devils advocate you understand, but...

If it's up on jacks, then it's not level. If it's not level, then don't you run the risk of not emptying it?

Is this a bad thing?

P.S. I've never done it on a zed yet, but I'm sure I'll just jack it up, but with a trolley jack so I can drop it again to get every drop out.

AAhhhh. :)

Now i know what he's on about - get the car level.

How about 2 sets of axle stands?

They are not expensive

TBH You cant get every drop of oil out of an engine it sits in places you wouldnt believe jacking up at the front is more than adequate :)
