....Welcome 928S4!

Have just traded in the lovely 944 Turbo, for a 1991 928S4 Rare 5 speed manual!

Only problem is it's a LHD German import.

Rides on massive 18 inchers and goes piggin' fast, with serious GRUNT in all gears!

Spent most of it's life on the Autobahn,and the gearchange is seriously heavy.(Autos are for ladyboys)

Looks like I'll be spanking even more 300ZXs now though!

You seem to be obsessed with every crap car porshe ever made.

The reason they are rare is coz no-one bought em. Wonder why.....

Actually have to admit I quite like the look of the 928 S4's.. Saw one earlier today and thought "nice"..

 

Not as much as I like the classic 911's of course

 

Got an insurance quote on an '82 911 SC once... Car was £12k, insurance was £5k.. Decided not to bother! Lol

928's are a great way of getting rid of fuel though. About 8mpg if you've got heavy feet and do shortish journeys !

Sounds like you have got a clutch problem. My 928 was a manual and I was surprised at how light the clutch was in fact. I assume that the car is a 928GT if it is a 1991 model. If not it must be a very late S4. Nice car, I will certainly be getting another one at some point.(Aswell as the Zed of course). They are not too bad on fuel if you drive it normally. I was getting about 15 - 17 MPG. Not bad for such a large engine. They are fast cars and the later models are in about the same league as a stock TT Zed. But do a bit of tweeking with the TT Zed and it does have the edge.

I quite like the old Porsche 928, they're cheap to buy now, but I bet they are even more expensive to run than a Zed.I would imagine that an auto box would suit the GT character of the car better than a manual box.( I doubt 'Porker can even drive yet )

On the subject of older Porsches...although the original owners were probably flash Tw%*s, I expect most of these cars have now filtered down to younger, real enthusiasts, as have 300ZX's to the likes of us forum members.(Then again...I might be wrong )

No...that's for the slower Automatic car, not the mighty 5 speed!
