Anyone using one of these yet, just want to find out how laggy they are.

supposedly feel less laggy than stock

Thanks guys

Just wondering if I should get re-profile cams for the installation.

A few people have reported problems with the actuators and or wastegates sticking on the downpipes on these turbos, maybe do a search on TT.net

Good call, thank for that tip, very valuable

An alternative that is virtually identical performance wise but without any reprted problems is the JWT 530 turbo, a little bit more expensive though :(

I already got delivery of the PE1420 today from Chip (GSM racing), I will just have to get an aftermarket downpipes and make sure the wastegate is filed in a bit to prevent the flang catching.

BTW, anyone knows where I could get a good 2.5 downpipes?

Hello, maybe andy will return one day, but i think he mentioned that the problem with the wastegates on the pe1420's was corrected in a later revision,

wow you actually got your turbos from chip  took him about 8 months to finally give me a refund after months and months of "i have shipped them, they must be lost!!"

Very lucky boy

You'll need "custom" downpipes, since the bolt pattern is different then Garrett 5 bolt turbos.

Greg Dupree has downpipes for the 1420's (http://www.specialtyz.com/downpipes.htm)

Will call them later today
