I'm looking for an induction kit but have no idea what is best. I have UK TT Auto. Any suggestions and anything else you would advise to do along with this mod?

A'pexi is one of the best rated (see Danny at DTA). Regarding your other post re: exhausts...

Several members have used Longlife. Custom made, choice of tail pipes, you choose the loudness and the system is guaranteed for the life of the car. There's one in Birmingham as well - details here

ApexI Powerflow is what most people consider the best (im sure this is the 3rd time ive said this in a week and ive not even got one!!!). check out the traders forums on here.

Can do you an A'PEXi induction kit: £100 (+ postage)

DTA-Motorsport performance chip (TT): £65 (+ ECU socketing)

Custom developed boost jets: £35 (+ postage)

Mongoose cat-back exhaust: £510 delivered (choice of 2 tip designs)

Paul, I currently have the SE Twin Maxflow Induction  and was considering a Twin A'pexi setup to replace it. Where did you get the plumbing for this and do you think that this setup offers justifiable benefits? Thoughts appreciated...

Steve I just looked at your mods and you don't need a twin filter set up,you do need to get rid of the maxilow though IMHO;)

Performance Heaven quoted me £375 fitted for a cat back Powerflow exhaust!

There are several "versions" of the powerflow systems out there. Some of them are made from inferior stainless steel and not welded properly. I'm certainly not saying that Performance Heaven is supplying such a system but one needs to be careful when buying exhausts not directly from a authorised dealer (again, this is a general comment as I don't know whether Perf. Heaven is a dealer or not). These inferior exhausts will rust and blow well before they should do and as with everything in the performance aftermarket scene - you get what you pay for. If it is a genuine Powerflow exhaust at that price then Perf. Heaven are not making any money on it and are probably throwing in labour for free.

Steve, the pipework on mine we manufacture ourselves, sold quite a few of these in the ole cybercraft days, i just replaced the filters with a pair of apexis a few month a go. When i went from the single cone to the dual there was noticeably an increase in torque and ran real smooth.

On the powerflows, imo these are prety rank, the back boxes are really good but the pipework is an inferior metal, it is not full stainless and often rusts, seen quite a few systems with some bad creases in too, which ain't good.

The equipment powerflow and their distributors use for bending the pipework will ONLY bend the pipes they use because it is softer than standard stainless.

If yer want gaurantee of quality with the knoweldge it will last, mongoose it is :smash:

cheers

The quality of the mongoose pipe metal and welding is out of this world when it comes to exhausts, you arn't really paying for a name, you are paying for quality. I havn't seen the new design in the flesh but I've been told that workmanship is well up to par for mongoose.

Here is a pic of the new 6" x 4" tailpipe. It isn't the actual system as sold for a 300ZX (and it isn't the best pic either) but you get the point.
