a few months ago there was a discussion / recommendation made by someone about the best radar/camera detector and another item which could jam lasers to give you enough time to slow down. I have been having difficulty fiing the link but was wondering if anyone knows what i am talking about and hopefully the link.

cheers

cant help you with the link but IMHO i reckon the penalty for getting caught jamming their lazer equipment by any such a device would be a heck of a lot worse than to actually be caught speeding....might be worth considering before you shell out on one

as ive said before the punishment for speeding is far worse than being caught

with a laser jammer, worse case scenario, they confiscate it and fine you,

speeding

100mph + instant ban/fine and points, i know which id prefer

my laser jammer sits under the number plate and is unseen, and no visible signs in the car either, on starting the car it gives two loud beeps to tell you it's active, the alrm guy who fitted it for me has his built in to his number plate, as its the size of the line on the top of a T and black, so TOTALLY unseen, let you decide;)

i stand corrected Billy  .....i was linking the penalty for jamming mobile phones/radio signals which i read was punishable by up to 2 years in HMP

in theory I suppose they could get you for attempting to pervert the course of justice although this is highly unlikely, more than likely as billy says nothing to worry about, get an LRC100 (or whatever the latest model of this is) they use the same laser diode thingies that are in the police guns, I've got one and its the nuts, had a chap test it with one of the police guns (LTI 20-20) and it works perfectly.

forgot to mention there is an outfit on ebay that sells ex-demo LRC100's VERY cheaply, I got my second one from there,

no problem m8;)

just how the police like it confuse the shit out of everyone, some police still tell motorists, radar detectors are illegal:(

get the local chavs terrorising old dears and neighborhoods and see what their response is then, now i wonder what would happen if i speed down a road and knock over a corner full of the local scum???????

This was announced by the Government this morning....

"Speed camera detectors are to be banned in a surprise move announced by ministers today.

The devices, which alert drivers when they approach speed traps, will become illegal within a year under tough measures in the new Road Safety Bill.

Ministers will continue to allow GPS satellite devices that inform drivers where roadside cameras are positioned. But devices that jam speed cameras by sending out radar signals will be ruled illegal. So will those that detect radar or laser beams emitted by cameras to gauge speed. These also tell motorists whether a roadside camera is live or a dummy.

Other measures in the Bill include:

A clampdown on speeding, with those who drive 32mph or more in a 20mph zone receiving a £100 fine and six points on their licence."

Oh good.......

Now this is what's really wrong with this fekking country.

The 30mph limit was brought in when the average cars like morris minors etc were all the rage. With their crappy drum brakes they could barely stop from 30mph in a 1/4 of a mile FFS. Most modern cars with ABS, even some without it, can stop from 60mph in a shorter distance so what do this fekking anti-car tree hugging @rse fvcking government do??

Introduce 20mph limits  WHY

They are happy to let real criminals walk the streets robbing the elderly and molesting children though :x:

They should just pull their d*cks out of each other's @rses and get a grip on running this country sensibly, giving priority to things which really matter.....

That idea to emigrate to Oz looks more attractive each day

Richard :(

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
