Was driving along a rough terrain and front wheel dipped into a ditch and the front bumper was caught tearing a big chunk out of it :cry: :cry:

 

below are pics of the damage my question is can it be repaired easily?? and if so does anyone know of anyone in the south-east that can do it.

Looks like your bumpers fibreglass if so its quite easy to repair , especially if you,ve got the bit that was ripped off.

Using glass cloth and resin to bond /reinforce the area thats been damaged, doing most of the glassing from the back of the bumper to build up the strength then sanding the paint off around the damage to reveal the fibreglass put a thin layer of glass over the cracks , let that cure and sand back to remove any high spots,

Fill as needed remembering to key any shiny glass as the filler wont stick then prime and paint, Hey presto one complete bumper again.

Sounds tricky but it isn,t really , All the stuff needed is readily available from motorfactors HTH. :D

at last ive found someone running the same front end as mine,sorry about your prang mate but iff you like that front and wanna know its birth place its here--- http://www.spoilersetc.net ime running a black 93tt with the full kit but not to pleased with the shark nose style of the front

where abouts in kent are you? i know someone that may be able to repair for you, or spray it if you repair it yourself. :)

hi,

yeah i have the missing bit and it does fit reasonably well as was travelling about 2 mph, Canterburys not too far about 30mins max.

 

Do you think i could maybe pop down at the weekend for a professional view on the damage.

Ouuuuch ! that is deffo repairable, any good body shop will be able to repair it.

Thanks for all your comments about it being repairable feeling much better now was gutted not even had it a month yet.
