we do this sort of stuff at work. We use Groupwise for email and what you can do is in the senders name field (i.e. your own name) put loads of spaces in front of the name so that it dissapears off the end of the box. Then type in me mates name and send an email to the boss decalring his un-dying love for him! Its great until the boss looks at the properties of the mail and find out its me and proceeds to give me a ballacking :D

 

I guess you can also do this on Outlook- spoofing the address so it appears as if it comes from somone else.
