I have moved the relevant threads to the SE section. My car's in the body shop until Monday, so I probably won't make this one :( May jump in with Jock though and grab a lift...

Had a good time today. Nice to meet a few more people. :)

It was a shame they decided to have a biker reunion on the road where we'd planned to go in Brighton, so they'd closed it off to cars, ( :mac1: ), so hopefully no-one tried to meet us down in Brighton?

And hopefully AndrewG managed to get his car started eventually at Boxhill!

Well done to Jay for organising it. :hyper:

Unfortunately, it looked like there had been a really nasty accident on the A23 Southbound as I drove back up. I hope that whoever was involved survived, but sadly I suspect they didn't.

ahh i saw you guys 6/7 zeds counted i think on the horsham by-pass @2.30pm looked nice i was in the mpv...yep you was right about the road being closed (Maderia Drive) i was guessing that hoards of bikers revvin away down by St Peters church were probably gonna put paid to your car parking...i was going to come along but my eldest daughters birthday was in full swing so no time

sorry to say i didnt make this one, so couldnt give cybernet a lift either, sounds like you guys had a day of it tho :)

AndrewG did you managed to get your car started.. Did you drive to brighton??

Good to meet everyone and hope you all had a good time and got home allright.

Sorry about the mess up when we got to brighton  bloody bikers

You be pleased to hear that my headache has gone now..

jay :)

No I didn't get the Z started! Had to call out the RAC who arrived about an hour and half after you all left for Brighton. Chap got underneath the car and jumped the starter motor. So we decided to head back home after that experience.

So it looks like in 6 years of Z ownership the first time the car has let us down was most likely due to a fault with the aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system or wiring.

Anyway, thanks to Jay for organsing the day.

Andrew hope you get it sorted soon.

Like you say 6 years and this is the 1st time the car lets you down, and the aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system or wiring that let you down.

Not bad for 6 years.

see your soon.

Sorry I couldn't make this one. I was in Brighton but surfing at the Marina. Noticed the bad accident on the A23 southbound too, didn't look good at all. Big sheet covering the scene up can't be a good sign.

Looking forward to the next one!

Yep it was good to meet some of you folks and a nice brisk convoy down to brighton, Ended up in the Surf Shop ( thanks for the info James) got a new board /fins/ wetty. cool. Had a great time watching the waves from the beach , had some fish and chips and headed back about 6pm. First time the Mrs has been on a car related run/event and she really enjoyed it. Car ran well and behaved itself.

Had a nasty Road rager in Croydon, which was a big downside to the day, got cut up badly at a set of lights by some asian bloke in a Primera, who then started playing silly by driving at 20 mph and slamming on his brakes, then he beckoned me past , and swerved out to cut me up. After a while he stopped his car and got out to have a bit of verbal, so I got out and he scuttled back into his car and shut up.Thought we had seen the last of him but a few miles further on he ended up behind me , flashing his lights and attempting to use his car as a weapon. thankfully the Z is somewhat of a better car when it comes to handling and power and I lost him convincingly at the Purley interchange. the bloke was a nutter, And I still dont know what upset the prat in the first place. but such is life. :xxx:

And we wonder what causes accidents like the one on the Motorway , sometimes its just crazy.

Still were not going to let that ruin our drive outs, so......

DEffo up for the next one.
